Five things I read. And then nodded my head.

I hated hockey as well....and did everything I could to get out of it.

Great quotes Sian. I really like the one from Maya Angelou. As for hockey, what can I say, I am Canadian and so therefore would likely be shunned if I said I hated it... but in all honesty I don't mind watching from the comfort of my living room with a warm fire :)

That's a lovely list of thoughts, Sian. I like the Maya Angelou quote - it's so very true. Still, the rest are all very apt as well - and I so agree about hockey!
Love the photo of The Small One - she looks very absorbed in her thoughts there.

Great quotes! I love the one by Maya Angelou. So very true. As a Canadian I am not allowed to hate hockey. ;) Never played it as I don't skate well. Spent lots of time in arenas as a teenager, watching the boys. hee hee I still don't really get the rules of it other than trying to put the puck in your opponent's net but, I don't mind some time on the sofa keeping DH company as he watches. I am usually knitting so I don't get bored and it's warm!! :)

So funny! Hockey is not big here. I hated volleyball. Some of my favorite quotes in similar vein:

Lots of nods here, too, and some are familiar to me. But the last one I didn't know, and it made me laugh. I grew up in an area where hockey was an unknown sport, and I've never really grown to appreciate it although it was a very big deal at my alma mater.

Love the Maya Angelou one. Now as for the hockey one - hey I'm Canadian although I will say I much prefer watching it my the warmth of my family room instead of the rink.
