March at Gotta Craft

Today I have my March Gotta Craft pages to show you. Sandra has put together a truly lovely kit based around the new For The Record papers by Echo Park and they are gorgeous. Richly printed, double sided and ready for Spring. This is what I made:

For this one I cut the roses from one sheet of paper and put them back together again to embellish a page about a trip I made to a rose garden with my Auntie Rose. I used a sticker from the add-on sticker sheet as my title because it matched the colour and font of the sign in the photo.

This one shows a photo of some back copies of a family magazine I created when I was about nine. As soon as I saw the typewriter sticker and the yellow and black papers, this is the story I wanted to tell

And this one is about a little girl who didn't get to the beach very often, but made the most of it when she did.

And I've still got some bits and pieces left. There may be more to come..

I think Sandra has a couple of kits here and the individual papers are here. I can recommend the sticker sheet -it's packed!

Have a nice Sunday, whatever you are up to! I'm off to a birthday party. With ice cream.

Love the little bit of whimsy in all these pages! And as always the stories to accompany them.

I love all three layouts. The stitching and title on the first one are just wonderful. The design of the second is my favorite of the three--I love everything about it. The black and yellow are great together. I just ordered (& received) a pack of this paper and was annoyed with myself for ordering two of the sticker sheets by mistake. Now I think I'm glad I did!

Mmmm, ice-cream! I'm hoping there wasn't snow with that ... That sticker is perfect for your top LO, isn't it, and what careful cutting out of those roses ... I love the design of your second page - what a resourceful dad to find a family crest! I can remember trips to the seaside with jumpers, cold wet feet and egg-filled bridge rolls tasting of sea, salt and sand. It wasn't until my 20s that I ever got to a beach warm enough to sunbathe on!

Oooh, you have been busy!!! Loving the fancy cutting of the roses and perfect use of that typewriter embellishment. I can't wait to get my hands on this line!!!! Thanks for the inspiration! :)

Great layouts. I really like that you cut the roses out and used them to accent the photos. That typewriter stickers reminds me of the typewriter I learned to on!

I love the roses, all framing the two photos on your page; also how you lined up the photos to give the whole view of the garden - with you in two places at once!

The Gazetteer page is cool! I used to make "books" and "magazines" at home also - my mum, grandma and sister would read them, though I don't suppose they would have appealed to anyone else!

You were certainly busy today - three scrap pages in one day. And those papers are gorgeous - especially the yellow paper you have used on the final layout. I like the folded paper flower you made for that page too.

It would be too hard a choice to pick my favourite of yours, I so enjoy seeing those hand cut roses, amazing!

I love the cut out roses, they jump off the page. I wonder what flavour of ice cream the little girl would want (or rather, big girl) :)

Lovely layouts, all three. I've got some of that Echo Park paper and it's calling to me. Love the page about your magazine. Our son put out a sports magazine when he was younger, so that brought back fun memories.

I love the way you have used the papers, specially cutting out the roses and adding them as a border.
I bought For the Record set recently. Just gorgous papers & stickers! Look forward to seeing more pages you do.
