Five Signs things are Stirring..

....maybe Christmas is on its way..

  • A conversation with a big boy about tickets, the end of term and flying home for Christmas
  • A conversation with a small boy about the ultimate fish tank. I like Nemo best, Auntie Sian. Better than SpongeBob. Will you tell Santa? Of course, Little E, of course.
  • A "Stir up Sunday" afternoon of dried fruit, mixed peel and boiling the Christmas pudding
  • A shopping trip - the big annual shopping trip - with my sister, planned for the end of the week. If it all goes as it should, she'll point to something she likes and I'll buy it, then I'll point to something I like and she'll buy it and then we'll head off for a nice lunch.
  • A new December class at Get It Scrapped. Your December Story starts 25th November and I'm excited to say that I'll have a free pass to give away tomorrow on the Your December Story Blog Hop.

With thanks to everyone who chimed in on Friday and beyond to "The Blog Cos You Want To Club" - especially Deb, who came up with a brilliant Five Useful Things almost straight away and Julie who added my post to the Push Up Bra Blogging Pinterest Board. I'll be calling another meeting soon, I think. We have more to talk about.

See you tomorrow?

You and your sister have the Christmas shopping thing sussed. I'm just laughing to myself, because I commented on the BCYWT Club saying that I was just posting on Sundays for the month and I forgot yesterday!

I know the reality probably won't quite live up to it, but ... the idea of 'flying home for Christmas' does sound a tiny bit glamorous! [To me anyway!]

Funnily enough, I've just looked up from my laptop and, stuck to my shelf with washi tape is a note I wrote in summer [amid the Xmas craft frenzy] containing a scribbled note for a future blog post. It's titled: '5 things I've learned about Christmas Crafting' ... I guess I ought to have a go at turning that into a post now!

I like this "five thing" idea. I wanted to comment on the "tall one" coming home. Where has the time gone?!! Seems like just yesterday you were taking him. I hope he has a length of time to spend with you before going back. It will be so nice having him home. Also, your shopping trip sounds about right!! I'm taking the girls on Saturday, mostly for Steph's birthday. I'm hoping to pick up a few Christmas gifts.

Oh, yes, Little E, definitely Nemo :) Can you believe TTO has almost finished his first semester (think that is our equivalent to your term)? I still get so excited for the Pirate heading home for a long stay. He graduates in May so this will be his last long break.

What a perfect shopping trip! and goodness me, thinking about the boy flying home for Christmas...where did that term go?

That Little E should run for Prime Minister, he talks a lot of sense. Nemo every time - absolutely.
Hooray to returning sons too!

A fun post and I too think that Nemo is way better than SpongeBob. Sounds like a fun shopping trip with your sister and a brilliant way to shop for each other. It is starting to feel a bit seasonal around here. Glistening snow, frosty branches and a couple of trips to the greenhouse to view the Christmas trees all add to the feeling.

Yikes! I haven't made the pudding yet!
Sister shopping is so much fun - we still surprise one another but spend plenty of time over coffees and what we plan to buy the kids.

Things are stirring around here, too . . . there's a completed stack of Christmas cards, completed projects for a Christmas Make and Take, PV pipe & ribbon besides a few completed napkin rings, a few bought gifts tucked safely in the closet . . .

Looking forward to booking tickets for Princess to come home - we've decided she's coming home for the first weekend in Advent 'so we can start Christmas properly' and then she'll be home at Christmas too.

I like the idea of you and your sister sorting the shopping that way. Some presents here have arrived and been squirreled away :)

I think Christmas is on the way too, but I'm not welcoming it as fast as the advertisers might want me to! Thanks for the link to Julie's Pinterest board.

Hello old friend!
It's been 12 posts and 26 days since I've had a chance to catch up on your posts (sounds a bit like the beginning of confession, doesn't it?) I've loved catching up with you . . . it's been four years of blogging for me too and I have a long post set for tomorrow about my current blog malaise, so the blog cos you want to post is perfectly timed. Absolutely adored the "Never seen a Baby page". My boy loved trains, too! He's home a week from today for a quick Thanksgiving visit and then he'll be home for three weeks at Christmas. Thanks for sticking with me while I've been gone!

Ah yes Christmas... I love it! I've seen lots of things popping up on Pinterest about My December Story so it looks like lots of involvement.
