Taking Pictures In July

...because July seems to be the month for it: the perfect time to get outside an start hunting..

...with your anorak hood up, your wellies on and your umbrella blown inside out, if you happen to be round here right now (me? bitter?) But that's part of the challenge, right?

My absolute photo prompter, of course, has to be Rinda, with her Summertime Photography Scavenger Hunt. It's tradition! Summer starts and Rinda's list begins to appear on blogs right across the world. That's what makes it so intriguing: the same prompts seen through the eyes of a photographer in Los Angeles or in London can yield very different results. I know that lots of you have made a start already, as the first linky of the season went up last week. I usually save my list for my holidays: up to yesterday that had resulted this year in mild panic as we aren't going to Germany until August. But last night we booked a few days in Scotland at the end of this month. Mmm...an "Outlander" themed scavenger hunt response? Now that would be a challenge..All the details for Rinda's hunt are here

I have another July photo hunt I'd like to mention too, just in case you have room in your brain (or on your phone?) for one more:

Get It Scrapped have put together a list based around a selection of their favourite Get It Scrapped articles from the past year. It'll make you think! If you were to take a picture to illustrate "curated", what would you choose? All the details, including how to join in on instagram, are here

I found last year that the best way to carry a list around is by taking a screen shot of the prompt sheet on my phone. By the end of the summer I had a whole new album of stories to scrapbook. Are you in?

I'm in! Every year I say I'm going to join in with Rinda's photo scavenger hunt and every year I fail, this year I will try harder!

Both of these look intriguing - and having an incentive might be good ... There's enough there to make a summer album of stories. I always enjoy a lens through which to look.

Oh GOSH! That year has flown. I tried to do Rinda's last year. Failed miserably.... Good luck! Love seeing yours. Scotland sounds great. I need to scrap the pile of photos here...... Grand kids keep breeding!!!!!

I love Rinda's hunt, and managed to get two more this weekend. One more, for sure, tomorrow. I think, though, that until I finish that one, I won't take another one on. But I'm glad to know about it in case I forge ahead more quickly than I expect to.

I've started Rinda's hunt and mentioned it to a friend, who I'm hoping will join in. The other prompt list looks interesting. Our annual holiday is very late this year as we're combining it with that family wedding in Cornwall. Enjoy your Scottish break. We loved ours and plan to go back soon.

I am as ever enjoying Rinda's hunt. This one looks interesting but I don't think I better start on another.

I love seeing everyone's capture of the same prompt and I look forward to yours too. I keep saying I'll join in on another photo challenge and yet I always fall at around day 4 lol xxx

I keep the list on my phone, too. I'm joining in Rinda's hunt, but still haven't jumped on the Instagram bandwagon.

I've put both into Evernote - which I access on my phone. Not sure about instagram, but will join in on the forums.
