Memorandum Monday

Hey Monday! I hope you have a good one in store for us! I have just put the rubbish out here. I threw the bin bag on top of the one already in the bin; and there was a nasty clanking noise, as if there is something very broken tied up tight in that first bag. Now, if there is, it isn't something I know about. I might have to investigate. Maybe it's going to be one of those days. So let's hightail it back to the weekend. Did you learn anything new? Do something for the first time?

Honestly, it doesn't have to be big. We had a quiet weekend here. My firsts are little. I watched the first episode of Deutschland 83, after recording it last week so that I could watch War and Peace on the other channel. It was so good I'm now recording the rest of the series. I steam cleaned the inside of the microwave instead of scrubbing it with a cloth. Another little thing.

But my favourite first?

I broke into my very first bar of personalised chocolate. You can guess where it came from: the House Of Little E, of course. Thanks, Little E! You know I'll be saving that wrapper.

Nothing big, then. I didn't learn a new language, or go sky diving. But, believe me, I'm just fine with that. And now I'm more than ready to read about the little things you did, too. We had quite a selection last week from

Deb, Helena, Jane, Miriam, Mitra, Mary Lou, Julia, Fiona, Karen, Maggie, Alexa, Melissa, Krafty Karen, Gail, Karen, Sheena, Susanne, Ladkyis, Sandra and Alison

A handful of you were happy to keep up with a "Me On Monday" post, in last year's style. That's great! I actually chose the title "Memorandum Monday" because it still had "Me" in there and it could cover both. So, I hope it's alright if I ask you to - keep on writing, yes! - but under the new title? If I'm picking up links and looking for new Mondayers, it'll keep us together if we are all posting under the same banner.

And we are still waving and wishing you a good week. I hope there's some chocolate, or any treat of your choosing in there somewhere!

I've been enjoying Deutschland 83 too and not even noticing that I'm reading subtitles - and every so often I think 'I remember that' from 1983. Love Little E's style

I really wanted to watch that but was put off as it was subtitled !

I am in and with the right heading now LOL. I love your chocolate wrapper, how wonderful. I seem to have missed so much while I was a bit ill. So glad to be better

I do love that chocolate wrapper! So what is the mystery broken object? Hopefully nothing valuable.

That Little E is a clever shopper isn't he -I bet personalised chocolate tastes even better than the normal stuff!
I didn't learn to sky dive either but I'm ok with that.

Sometimes I think all chocolate has my name written on it, but I see now there is a difference. What a creative and perfect gift! I played along with you this week!

Oh personalized chocolate - envious. My philosophy on this, is that there would be very few downsides to this bar, it's given with lots of love. Love always is good for heart & body. Steam cleaning the microwave, that's a good lesson shared. Thank you.

I read this post early this morning, then got inspired to write my own post, and totally forgot to comment! I'm glad to know "little things"count as there are often weeks that seem very much the same. A personalized candy bar with Frozen graphics---I have a granddaughter who would love that!

I am waving back this week - now I've finished a book by ANOTHER new to me author. I am loving that chocolate bar .... we need personalised bars because chocolate has a habit of being eaten by the 'elves' around here :)

A nice bunch of little firsts for you this weekend, but of course my favorite is that personalized chocolate! What a thoughtful gift!

Waving from Texas & joining in with a few tidbits of genius today on my blog!

What a lovely gift from Little E - it has been a pretty quiet weekend here, certainly no sky diving going on LOL!! But when I thought about it there were a couple of new things - so I'm waving back at you

I finally got a moment to play along! Glad the "new" thing can be so little because most of my weekends are very predictable!

And I was curious myself if Frozen had caught on elsewhere and NOW I have that answer! Adorable chocolate bar! I am sure on one thing....everyone else has better chocolate than us peeps in the States! Happy Monday!

What a sweet idea from Little E. I think your family have a talent gift giving. Deutschland 83 is next on my streaming list. I've just finished Fargo, which I loved and have an episode of Hinterland to catch up with first. Have a great week Sian.

I hope that unknown object hasn't turned out to be significant in any way! And your very own chocolate - how lovely! That wrapper would make a great pocket :).

A great idea for this years Monday posts Sian.
I have started the year with lots of firsts - the reason for my lack of reading and writing blog posts. Hoping to join in. I haven't watched Deutschland 83 but have seen lots of other good new programmes, including Shetland which has special appeal!
I hope you enjoyed the chocolate, what a lovely gift from Little E.
