Me On Monday

Here I am, on the Monday after Christmas, hoping that your holiday held something of everything you had wished for.

I always say that that these few days, the ones after, are the best of the year. We're glad to be in each other's company, after months of emails, and we're happy to just sit. And eat, of course, and enjoy, and look back.

Little E's Winter Wonderland lasted until Christmas Eve night, when it was happened upon by a dog looking for a midnight snack; and Granny's teeth ended up in the back of the fire on Christmas Day, mistaken for some cake crumbs wrapped in a napkin. But at least now we'll have a story or two to laugh about next year. And use for a layout.

We headed to Granny's the day after Christmas, for her annual Boxing Day Book Opening. In November she goes through her catalogues and chooses bargains, all carefully matched to each member of the family. Can you tell?

Have a great week! More soon. Today I'm putting on my new Batman tshirt and recycling the wrapping paper. Maybe.

Rolling round laughing about granny's teeth - were you able to rescue them with no damage or is she now on a soup diet - sorry to laugh but this has just creased me up today :D

Will post my Monday goings on later

Oh my! I hope they survived the ordeal better than my cousin's Christmas money did, one year at my Granny's. Waving back today with a little Christmas round up.

Poor Granny. I hope she doesn't have to go through the trouble of breaking in new teeth. Hopefully the fireplace was for decoration only. LOL about Little E's doggie snack. Why do we have these creatures in our lives?..... other than the fact that they give us complete joy. I'm thinking I should get this tree down but I am enjoying it too much to part with. Somehow it makes the holidays last longer.

Oh a book is the basis for my Me on Monday post too. Those all look like they would be fun to peruse. Enjoy your week - it is a well deserved rest, isn't it!

Oooh, marshmallows! That could have been for you ... but then, again, The Not So Small One has been stellar in the kitchen department with her fund-raising efforts :). I'm guessing yours probably wasn't Top Gear, but then, again, I am sure you have mentioned somewhere a sporty car! Hoping, at least, that granny's teeth were rescued or that she had a spare set. That's going to be some scrapbook page? Lovely to see you and hope you relax and enjoy a wonderful few days with your loved and missed ones.

Compliments of the season (as my cousin keeps telling me I should say in the time between Christmas and New Year ). I can only imaging the laughing about poor Granny's teeth.

Glad Granny's teeth came through unscathed! Looks like she has book selecting down to an art :)

You certainly will have some stories to laugh over & scrapbook! Great book choices & such a FUN tradition for boxing day.

Oh the stories to be told! It was a puppy-watching, leftover-eating, walking on the bluffs kind of weekend for me.

I know I shouldn't, but I'm still chuckling about poor Granny's teeth! And I'm guessing that Granny got her book choices spot on!?

Oh no, the dentures! I also can't wait to see the page about that! :)

I had to smile about granny's teeth - the same thing happened to my friends son's brace. He'd only had it 3 weeks and took it out to eat pizza. Ooops! Your story will certainly make a great page and it is good to have ones you can laugh about.
Love the book idea - happy reading to you all!

Oh dear! I do hope no harm was done to Granny's teeth and if there was that she was able to get new ones fairly quickly. I'm so out of touch that I must go back and find out about Little E's Winter Wonderland.

Hope 2015 is treating you all well.
