Look Up, Look Down..

...look all around. It's very hard to resist. I had to add in that extra one. We are on a visit to a sweet shop after all.

When you get out of the car and look up, you'll see a bright candy pink oasis in a street full of furniture shops and pharmacies. Creep a little closer, lean on the window sill and look down for a first glimpse of what you might find inside. You may try, but you won't be able to stop yourself looking up again and peering past your cold breath on the window, looking, looking to the lights flickering right at the back of the shop where the magic is made. Push the door and the bell will signal your arrival. Now you may look around. It's alright: we've got plenty of time. But mind your teeth: those toffee bonbons carry quite a chew!

We've been shopping for a few local treats to put into Christmas parcels; and that has given me a nice chance to join in today with Helena's Creative Maven as I Look Up, Look Down. Thanks Helena!

I never go to candy stores, but now you've given me an idea for Thanksgiving. I'll stop by and pick up some table favors! Love your pictures.

never mind up and down, I'd be looking left and right as well! Oh that is my kind of a shop ... did they have 'shrimps'? Or banana and custards?

You just don't see sweet shops like that anymore on a regular basis, do you? Lucky you to have one near by.

A lovely set of photos today, Sian, and I just love your journaling today too. We have a sweet shop that I love to go too, and shopping for some Christmas parcel treats sounds like a great idea!
