Spring's the Thing: Some Cards

How's the sunshine where you are today? Our snow is finally disappearing, just in time for the Easter Break. It's still extremely cold, though, and that's the perfect excuse for keeping everyone inside and making things

I've been catching up with the cards I wanted to do for the 52 Card Challenge at Kool Kitty Musings: we're up to week 13 already! My inspiration for these three comes from a lovely card Natty showed a couple of weeks back: one to use as a sketch, so that's what I've done

I made a set, each one a little different, using some older October Afternoon scraps in my favourite colour combination of the moment.  Maybe it's that hint of Spring in the air: I'm thinking about colour right now and some pairings I'm wanting to try. How about:

- aqua with gold and cream

- pale blue, yellow and grey

- grey, white, woodgrain, soft blue and a little kraft

- neon pink and gold

- red, kraft, white and cornflower blue

- navy with everything

Maybe I'll get a chance later on today after all that holiday stuff like haircuts and eye tests. I'm going to ignore the snow and pull paper instead..

These colour combinations are just lovely, Sian - the splash of yellow with that aqua/grey is very fresh and appealing. And I love anything with grey in it, of course :). Very pretty cards - you really interpreted the sketch to suit your very pretty style. Hoping you get time to craft and get through the haircuts and eye tests. It is snowing again here as I type ...

exsqueeze me? did you send the snow over here? When I went to let the chickens out this morning, the sun was shining and there were little snowflakes dancing on the breeze (for breeze read biting easterly gale). The girls didn't particularly want to come out of their house so I quickly opened the gate and then scurried back up the steps and into my lovely warm house

Your cards are gorgeous ~ I have the one you sent me on my desk, so I see it everyday. It's bitterly cold here as well, but at least we avoided the snow. Mind you, just at The Boy Child recovered from Chicken Pox, The Brainy One and I have come down with a nasty lurgy!

We've had a lovely day today....or,should I say....what I would consider a lovely day if it were the middle of winter....sunny and bright....but freezing cold!!

I love these colour ways, Sian. And the papers... I would happily choose these myself. They certainly lift the spirit in this cold dismal weather. Spring did someone say? At least the daffodils are braving the weather and I hope the snow is clearing for you. Happy Easter x

I love the sound of your colour combinations, I really feel it is one of your strengths.

Happy Easter to you all :)

It started to drizzle on my girl and I today when we were running! And it's been pretty chilly. Hopefully our sunshine and warm temps will return soon.
I can't believe you have four posts since the last time I visited.
I love your use of flags and banners.

Love the color combination you chose, and the banners are wonderful! It was 80° here in Ashland today, but at home it's still in the 30's. Our time here is coming to a close; I hope we can take spring back east with us!

These are wonderful Sian. I haven't made cards in a while, but need to create some in the next week or so for a project I'm working on.

It's so weird reading about all this snow that everyone has had. We've had a few flurries that don't even lay. maybe it's because this tiny part of Kent is on an Island and so surrounded by sea water. I don't know - it's just so weird reading about all the chaos and then looking out the window at normality.

Your card set is gorgeous - as always :)
