One Farm. Finished.

Just squeezing in there before the end of the month, I've finished the felt farm.

The barn in the background

I love how it turned out and I'll definitely be returning to Bugga Bugs for more patterns (mmm..felt food..) - the instructions are excellent: clear and detailed with plenty of photos.

The barn unfolded to show the inside

And I was able to use up lots of little scraps of felt. The finished farm cube measures just about seven inches square. To be honest, Little E is probably still a bit too little to play with it (it has buttons and elastic holding it together); so it will be going on a high shelf for a while I think. "Mmm," said The Small One when she heard this. "I think I could probably do with a felt farm.."

Psst! Don't forget: Storytelling Sunday next week, the first Sunday in February. Have a think and come up with a tale to tell. No layout, craft project or added extras required. Just you and a few words...

Cute! And, it's possible it will last until Little E's Very Big E - James's Mum just gave us a felt hare she made in a similar project ot yours, when James was LittleJ. Still perfectly intact and now stowed away in my collector's tray. Must take a photo for you.

:-)

p.s: How funny you remember seeing the book on my blog! Of all the annuals in all the carboot sales ...

This is so lovely Sian. I checked out the shop where you bought the pattern and they are very tempting. It is great to see the finished farm and achieved your goal to finish by the end of the month.

I see you've been busy despite being ill. It's wonderful and can quite understand why TSO is interested in having one - perhaps a joint project?
Hope you had a fab time yesterday with Mel. JJ x

Is there no end to your talent, woman?! It's beautiful and who can blame the SO for having her eye on it?

Gorgeous! Many years of happy play to come, methinks. Hoping you do a scrap-page about it, so that in years to come Little E, when he's a Big E, will be able to share it with his own little ones and tell them the story of Auntie Sian's dedication and love in the midst of trials and tribulations of her own ... :)

And it's even cuter in real life :-) That gingham sets it off perfectly! Gosh, if I'd made it I'd be struggling to part with it.... (Though if I'd made it, it quite possibly wouldn't be so beautiful and thus would be easier to part with!!)

Yay for the Felt Farm! It's so lovely and I would like it... perhaps I should make my own.
Little E. will be very happy to have such a wonderful gift (and his mummy will be even happier, I would imagine, since she will understand how much love and hard work went into it!). I bet Little E. will still have this when there is a Little E (or A.B.C) of his own one day...

Oh that is so cute. Hmmm, wonder if a certain almost 4 year old I know would like it. Need to send my niece to your blog to check it out. My words are already for Sunday's post, just need to find a couple of pics for it. :)
