Five Things I'm Planning

I do like something to look forward to..

  1. A 16th birthday celebration. Details are still sketchy. But that's boys for you.
  2. A 2nd birthday celebration. Alright, I'm not actually planning this one. But I am planning on being there. Especially now I've heard about the ICE CREAM VAN.
  3. A trip into town for some new season shopping. Crisp white t-shirts and some navy ballet pumps are top of my list.
  4. A big Photobox order. Because more pictures means more pages, right? But I wish I knew which box to tick so that they don't crop my images. Anyone?
  5. A visit from a blog friend. In real life! Mel will be here any minute, so I'm off to put out some coffee cups and polish up the hamster..

We like ice cream. Especially when The Accountant is paying.

Fun times!! You & Mel will have a blast :)
I saw an icecream van yesterday with details for hiring for parties & I thought what a brilliant idea for my sons 8th in April - will have to cost it out! Yum :)
Glad you seem to be better now xx

trust you had fun with Mel

on Photobox - do you crop them between camera and photobox? Because digital cameras take photos which are different size to print size. I crop all mine in picassa or PSE before I upload. I have sometimes done it inside Photobox - choose to check each image individually and it will show an orange line where it wants to crop - you can move the line to where you want the crop. Hope this sorts your cropping problem

snapfish now do a print that is the right size for digital pictures. They are pretty quick too.

I tend to use Snapfish as well.
Have a great time with Mel.

Can't believe that you and Mel are getting together! How exciting! Make sure you take lots of photos together because this certainly needs recording for posterity.
Sounds as if you are feeling much better so hope you have a fab weekend!

Hope you and Mel have a brilliant time :D
I use Photobox too and have learnt NEVER ever to tick "Shrink To Fit" - they shrink them ALL even if they already fit for some reason!

Looking forward to hearing all about your 'in real life' meeting. I have one of those coming up this year too. Ice cream van hire sounds fun.

It would be so much fun to meet up with blog friends! Have a great time! Since it is so cold and snowy here, I must say the ice cream is not too much of a temptation right now.

Mel is visiting you... how wonderful! I hope you both have a great time (with plenty of ice-cream).

I get my prints from Photobox - had a big disaster with Snapfish so I don't use them any more. There is an option for photos not to be cropped - I used it last time I ordered. If the photo dimensions are odd, they fit it to the size of the paper and you have a white bit at the edges. I also ask for no border, as the width of the borders is a bit hit & miss. Seems to be ok so far. Hope Helena's comments are helpful because I can't remember exactly where the "no crop" option is found!

The Accountant doesn't look too thrilled about paying for the ice-creams (but I suppose that's what comes of being an Accountant really...) I hope he felt better once he started eating his.
Enjoy the Ice Cream Van at the party (eeee!)

You can't beat a 99 in my opinion. Ooh Navy pumps...gorge, I'm a navy girl too...black so doesn't suit me. Yep, Grey (new black), navy and red....sometimes a little pink and denium. Show us when you get them. I wear red pumps alot, a child at school even drew a pic of me...with my red shoes on.

Enjoy your visit (and those delish ice creams!)
Re Photobox, I do the same as Lizzie - no border & no cropping....makes some of the pix an odd size but doesn't stop them from being 'scrapworthy'!

Sounds like some wonderful plans! How exciting that you are meeting Mel in person, I got in on her pay it forward and am looking forward to a package in the mail from her sometime this year! Hope you have a great visit.

You know ... I really feel that this picture is not a fair portrayal of the dear Accountant - of course not knowing him at all, it may be true to life - I dare say it is not ... so, perhaps a portrait of him in his favourite Swedish shop, or one where he is encouraging TSO in her entrepreneurial endevours????

I hope the visit is wonderful for the two of you .... she says in a somewhat excited but envious manner ;-)!

I'm a bit late catching up on this news, so hoping you have had a wonderful time, the two of you. As people I 'visit' regularly, it's lovely to hear you got to meet up... Did she get to see Horsey too?

It was such a fine visit, I can barely put it into words :-) The hamster was at his sparkly best, the coffee was top notch and the family were all wonderfully welcoming - thank you! When I'm feeling a bit more 'with it' (I can hardly cite jet lag lol but I'm feeling shattered nonetheless!) I'm sure I'll be posting a suitably bouncy and effusive account on my blog. For now, my friend, can I just say how good it was to meet you? xx
