July Projects at Gossamer Blue

...which are appearing a little bit later than usual, due to a flying stop in Canada by the box carrying my kits. As soon as it arrived, safely, right here in my hands, I did what I always do, which is carry it to the top room of the house (the one with the most expansive floor space) and then spread it all out from one wall to the other.

That way I get a quick idea of what looks nice with what, which colours are jumping out at me and the rest.

It's a bit like mopping a floor, though: I have to be careful not to paper myself into a corner. Imagine standing on any of it! Even if it's while wearing a specially soft handknitted sock. On the plus side, if anyone is looking for me, I can shout "Sorry! Can't come out now! I'm marooned in paper and I have to cut my way out."

The cutting this month has so far resulted in

Sian Fair: July projects for Gossamer Blue

a page called Inside Without a Cloud in the Sky about our dire summer weather

and this one

Sian Fair: July projects at Gossamer BLue

about filling an album with football stickers.

The alpha is by Fancy Pants Designs, the little birds are from Simple Stories, the chipboard pieces, Life Pages cards used as patterned paper and stamps are from the new, all exclusive Gossamer Blue Life Pages kit; and all of it can be found in the July selections at Gossamer Blue

More soon.

I do ADORE both of these.... it looks fresh and clean and tells such fun, everyday stories. Not necessarily happy ones re the weather. Still, you have August to come! Glad your kit arrived and you got out of that room intact!!!

Laugh out loud stories recanted on the page. Gardening books, catalgoues & magazines always a treat in less than perfect weather. Who knew there were stickers for sports teams!!?! (obviously not me).

Glad to see that your kit finally arrived. These pages are beautiful. Love how you always record the everyday memories. Hope you get some sun soon. It is raining here today. Great excuse to scrap or knit... after I wash the floors. :(

Lovely pages!

We had a package delayed this past week, stopped off in one of those northern states & stayed several days for no apparent reason! :|

So, here in the States in NY mind you (we don't have problems like this usually) the lawn is crispy and I'm watering the plants to keep them alive in the pots. We haven't had rain in ages and ages. It's not a place to even water lawns as it's not normally an issue. Evidentally they ordered double rain for your neck of the woods and then all our rain orders accidentally got routed your way...If you could, just send all you want our way, we'd really love it! I do love your pages! I'm sorry your kit went to Canada first...did it say ehhhhhh when it arrived!

Great pages! The thought of you trapped in your room and having to cut yourself out has really made me giggle :)

Laying it all out on the floor sounds perfect. I like to take the time to open the box and go through the individual items carefully, when I have time enough, one by one to get a feel for it - accompanied by a cuppa of course. And then it will take some time for me to decide where to go first. But laying it all out could give me a new perspective
