Hooray for May! And for a box which this month took a little longer than usual to get here. But, with a longer wait comes more opportunity to look forward. I had seen plenty of sneaks of May at Gossamer Blue and I was getting what you might call more than a little excited when the doorbell rang, that box was in my hands and I could make a start, sticking.
So far, I have put together two pages, from a mix of the Main Kit, Life Pages kit and add ons, and the Bits and Pieces kit, which is always my favourite. The first
came about because I wanted to use some of the fresh reds and greens in this month's collections. So I chose a picture I took in Stavanger, Norway, to tell the story of a return trip. The first time we were there, I suddenly, without any warning, developed one of the worst headaches of my life; and I had to be unceremoniously escorted back to the cruise ship. Second time, several years and many migraine medications later, I spent a very happy full day exploring.
The chipboard is from Simple Stories, and in the Main Kit, the enamel dots are from the Bits & Pieces kit
as is the wood veneer and the alpha is from My Minds Eye Hello Gorgeous, in the Life Pages Add On #3.
My second page
uses more of the reds and greens. I've played around with it, taking pieces off and adding alternatives (the version on instagram isn't quite the same as this one) but as from now, I'm calling a halt. It's the words that really matter:
Maybe I was simply spoilt for choice? The May kits are so stuffed with embellishments I'm having to take a minute here to decide what to use next.....

You are such an amazing ambassador for Gossamer Blue Sian!
When I see your beautiful page, I want the kit and feel free and just create pretty things ;)
You are quite the enabler!
Love the fresh and crisp look as well!
Bravo ;)
On your first layout I am liking that pen chipboard. Both are cheerful layouts. The quote on your 2nd page, I am going to be copying to use on a garden page.
Cute pages, love the stitching.
You already know that I like the butterfly on the photo ... the colours on the Up a Crooked Hill page complement the photo perfectly.
Lots of delicious bits and pieces from these kits, Sian - your pages are gorgeous, full of freshness. Sorry to read about the migraine :(. I especially like those coloured letters in your second one. And the quote is poetically perfect.
This has to be the most amazing kit and you've used it beautifully. What I think I love the most is how you've placed the embellishments on your up a crooked hill page. Stunning stunning stunning
Like Alexandra, I always want to go right to Gossamer Blue and press "pay." (And, in fact, I have done just that on occasion. I love the stitched frames on both layouts, and your ability to pull together seemingly disparate elements and make an artistic whole of them is just unparalleled!
Two beautiful pages! Love the white backgrounds and the effect of that large butterfly! It's spring so I need to start using some on my pages too! The kit must be amazing!
It does look like you had lots of options in that kit! Great job on these layouts. I especially like the big butterfly on that second one - it works so perfectly with the colors in your photo.
Looks like a fab kit...put to very good use may I say?! Xx
Two beautiful pages
Lovely pages.
I like the frame with the title in that first page - really pulls your eye into the collections of bits and the journalling.
