March kits? That's when I start to look for a hint of Spring. Fresh colours, new products just in from CHA: I couldn't wait to see what Gossamer Blue had in store this month so that I could make a start on a stack of pages about our half term trip to Scotland. And when I opened the box, it was all there! Crisp new paper and invitingly crinkly packages of the very latest from Crate Paper, Pink Paislee and MME. So this is what I made:
In this first page I used some of the smaller prints in the 6x6 Pink Paislee pad to cut butterflies I could combine with the Crate Paper diecut flowers. I wanted to make an Easter page which concentrated on the every day of Easter holidays just before exam time and I found two photos I took in the hotel room while we were away. She's actually lying on the bed, watching tv; but the white wall behind makes a good space for some journaling I typed straight onto the photos.
The "To Do" list is a self inking stamp from Jen Hadfield, found in this month's Bits and Pieces kit.
Next I made a page about a beautiful spot I had first spotted in pictures on Pinterest. When I discovered it was in Edinburgh I made it a must see for our trip.
Dean Village is a wonderful place to take pictures. A passer by even stopped to point me in the direction of the best buildings. Now that's tourist friendly.
When I spotted the Bloom tassels in the Bits and Pieces kit I thought maybe I could combine one with a tartan patterned Life Pages card to give a hint of a kilt.
All my photos weren't going to fit on one page, of course, so I moved on to this one:
which began as an experiment in combining all of my favourite patterns from that 6x6 Pink Paislee pad. The little birds are cut from a sheet of Maggie Holmes paper in the Main Kit and the blue banner at the top is drawn with a couple of swipes of the Dear Lizzy Rub On pens in -yes - the Bits and Pieces kit. I have a favourite add on this month, no doubt about it
and I have more I'd like to do with it. That's my three for now though. All supplies from the beautiful, Spring-y Gossamer Blue March kits.

Gee whizz! Stunners!!! Love the gelatos yellow [guessing????] on the top one & the typing on photos. Brill:) And those 'spots' certainly deserve to be photographed. Your pp matching is amazing. They look gorgeous & for some reason not OTT....how do you manage that?!!!! Clever chops:)
Gorgeous layouts, I really love the spring colours x
Beautiful pages. TNNSO looks as gorgeous as ever ~ poor girl, all that work. x
You have been crafting up a storm. The pretty colours in all your layouts cheered me up this morning. Is the white brick background with Liberty & printed on it an enlarged photo or paper? Either way it is a wonderful accent.
That looks like a great spot in Edinburgh. Our visit there was far too brief. I was going for a hint of Spring in class today, with yellow and floral images. Great minds and all that. Lovely pages.
oh my goodness, these are delish! See what the smell of fresh clean paper does to you OR the sound of that new crinkle! Totally love these!!!
Such beautiful layouts; my favorite is the first one. I love the colors, the photos, the design . . . And the little bird on the title of the second---perfection!
Gorgeous Sian! You are the second of my blog friends to mention Edinburgh in the space of a week. I'm so excited and looking forward to our trip to London/Edinburgh in July!
These are lovely, Sian. So fresh, and in 8.5 x 11". Is that just for this trip or are you a convert to a new size?
Seriously beautiful layouts Sian!!
You make that kit pretty irresistible ;)
Thank You~
So very pretty, each and every one. I like the way you're half hidden behind the deer :).
Wow .... Seriously Sian. WOW
Oh my, these are so lovely - looks like a fabulous kit!
Love the title, scribbled yellow and the yellow paper border, such a lovely pop of colour.
Rub ons and mixing of patterns combine beautifully on that last page - with a great reminder too.
They all look super Sian - love that one especially of your daughter. So neat that you were able to use so many of the pattern papers on these.
