Me on Monday

Me on Monday? Here I am!

We took an impromptu roadtrip and we've just got back. We only have a couple of weeks left until we say goodbye to our student again, so we grabbed a chance today to suggest an outing, and everyone said yes so we got in the car and drove. We ended up at a rather fancy Outlet Village. As the boys looked at new suits, I crept away and was eventually discovered searching out something old right beside the shops. It was a good day out.

And the weekend? It was a world fair kind of a Sunday, as we visited the Mela

to enjoy the music, the costumes, the food ..

...and the crafts

It was a grand way to spend an afternoon in the park..

...and all that colour has me looking out for more. I hope your week is a colourful one, in the very nicest of ways! Have a good one.

Last week Helena, Alison, Deb, Louise, Sandra, Eileen, Mary-Lou, Ladkyis, Michelle, Barbara, Karen, Fiona, Liz, Julia, Sheena and Alexa all gave us a Monday wave. I'm waving right back! Won't you join me?

There you are! Reminding me that although it feels like Sunday, it it is indeed Monday! It certainly looks like a very colourful weekend. Only two left now until my boy goes out into the world too. About to wave back :-)

I like your first photo, you looking at the remains of the church, a pondering sort of photo.

Oh yes, a Mela is always a wonderful photo-gathering event isn't it? Loving those letters!

And *what* a juxtaposition of the old and new.

Lovely contrast with the colour of Mela and the staying power of the walls - have a great week

Love the photo of you - very contemplative and serene. Is that the remains of an old church? Looks like it was once a beautiful building!

I love the colour contrast between the first photo and the Mela photos. London Mela is next weekend in a park we use quite a lot ... yet we have never been to Mela ...

Impromptu road trips are the ones that stick in the memory. Years from now one of them will say "Do you remember....." out will come the albums and all the memories of that time will be reinforced.
My Dad always said "You have to make memories, they don't just happen. The trick is to make the memory seem like it just happened." I try to do that a lot and then make a page for it

My goodness, there's some wonderful colour to brighten the dull end of August! But I have a fondness for the old there too - all those beautiful soft shades in the stone and the weathered wood. Lovely to see you again!
