Still Single and Pretty

Not me. Obviously. But simply the final two pages I made for the Get It Scrapped class. I'm sure I'll be talking to Debbie about each of my layouts in detail during our end of February webinar, so it's pictures today..

...of a page about looking for one thing and finding something else

Sian Fair for Get It Scrapped's Single and Pretty

(when I went hunting for a prop to photograph with a nursery blanket)

..and another page with a picture of a very tiny baby

Sian Fair for Get It Scrapped's Single and Pretty

(that would be me) and a pair of rather special glasses.

Back on Monday!

Gorgeous pages Sian. My Mum had a similar pair of very special glasses! See you on Monday and I hope I'll actually manage to wave back.

Fantastic layouts & journaling! You might still be single, but you're still pretty! :)

These are so light and airy....I think you're channeling spring! Love how you've used the wooden frame & I wish I could read your journaling! And those glasses. Sheesh! I had a pair as a 4 yo. Very heavy on a little girl's face, I can tell you!!!

Those glasses are great! My mum had some interesting ones but nothing quite like that. What lovely retrospective words about her too. It is moving how our views change about our parents as we mature and understand more.

can't remember if you ever mentioned how you store your layouts? do you have like themed album? or by year maybe? I feel like I don't want to scrap "random" photos if i don't know in advance of an album they could go into, which is pretty much why I only scrap travel photos lol

Such gorgeous layouts with so much to look at and admire. You have such a gift for putting together the embellishment clusters! I just love looking to see what all you've combined.

Two beautiful layouts and I love those glasses. Specs are so cheap now that you can easily have several pairs to change your look - I never knew you could get glasses like that could be accessorised like that

Such soft and pretty pages, Sian - your eye for detail and ability to put things together is always inmpressive. But it's your story-telling that really touches me today. Because you've reminded me that somewhere (if only I could persaude my Dad to let me look for it) there is a photo of my Mum at about that age with a pair of glasses with 'wings' (as I called them) like that - though hers were darker, I think. I had forgotten all about them ... And now I am remembering her when she was young and vital with lots of energy. Thank-you :).

Such beautiful pages Sian, I wouldn't normally go for pastel colours but they really suit what you have done here. What a gorgeous little teddy bear!
