It was a recipe checking, ingredient buying, Christmas pudding mixing, long boiling kind of weekend. And a Dundee Cake baking, Playmobil researching (yes, Little E, I got exactly the right kind), Amazon browsing, book ordering, sausage roll eating, poster printing, Grand Prix watching weekend too
We boiled up the Christmas pudding for the required six hours and we've wrapped it up safely to keep. We've made a cake to slice for the Romania Coffee morning and we've printed out the posters to stick up in school. We emailed back and forth with Uncle Dave, who is in Kuala Lumpur this week and has promised to look out for interesting craft books. We've started looking forward to December..
And Me On Monday? It's a warts n all photo this week. I'm coughing, but I have a day off and I'm heading out with a friend for some chat and relaxation with an hour at the Day Spa. The best thing about this picture is the knot in my scarf. But there it is, Monday morning goes like that sometimes, no matter how much you've been looking forward to it!
What are you up to this Monday?
Last week Helena, Abi, Ladkyis, Jane, Ruth, Deb, Doris, Karen, Mel, Alison, Liz, Kirsty and Alexa all gave us a peep at what they were up to. Go give em a wave! And have a great week.

Sorry to hear than darn cough is still with you today. Sounds like a weekend full of busyness and good things. Hope it's a great week ahead.
I so enjoy all the ritual preparations (and smells) in the weeks leading up to the big day - loving your scales. Hope your cough goes quickly
That's a knot I don't know how to tie! Hope the cough clears up soon. We're sitting here in my son's kitchen waiting for Skylar to wake up while Mom and Dad are off to the hospital to deliver her little sister. Tomorrow Sarah and family arrive. Big week here!
It's definitely that time of year! No time to feel bad. I hope you get rid of your cough so you can get some rest. It's just the beginning...
Oh my goodness, that cough dies not sound pleasant at all - hope the heat and steam are nicely therapeutic. Sounds like Stirabout Sunday was a busy time at your house!
That was a productive weekend! Hope you feel better very soon. x
You were in good company this weekend. Jill on "The Archers" also made her puddings!!! I have two left from last year so no pud making for me. I hope all family members had a stir and a wish!
Hope the cough is soon gone....but it sounds like a good weekend.
Hope you recover quickly. Sounds like a busy weekend.
Let's hope that cough is well and truly gone by the time we see you next Monday.
Boy you were busy this weekend, hope that time at the spa has recharged your batteries and made you feel better.
The Christmas pudding looks good! I hear you on the buying for little nephews front. It opens a whole new world that I have no idea about. Hope your cough doesn't turn into a flu. Feel better.
Hope your cough is soon gone, there seem to be a lot about (time of year) Mr P has had his cough for about 6 weeks now. I miss the fun of Christmas pudding making but neither of us eat them so my baking time is better invested in cakes that will be eaten. Hope the spa has recharged your batteries after a busy weekend. I am waving back at you on my blog.
I hope the hour or so spent with your friend at the spa has helped that cough. Xx
Wow spa sounds like a lovely way to spend a Monday! Better than teaching 5 periods! Haha! I've been Amazon browsing too!
Nice scarf Sian! I learned to knot mine French style, which is much more comfortable - and stylish ;-) - than the traditional English way. Not sure about this one... looks quite Scandinavian - and Scandi is In this year!
A bit of coughing also going on over here, in the East of England. Had to take my mum to the asthma nurse today, for advice, as she's been coughing for several days. Five days' worth of steriod tablets was the result (oh joy - steriods make her so dopey and muddled...at least it's just five days). Today was better for me, than the damp days of the past week or so. The soggy dampness gets into my lungs and I cough every time the door is opened, or whenever I go out. At least the clear, crisp and frosty weather doesn't do that, even if I was shivering. Time to fetch my lovely new winter coat out of the cupboard-under-the-stairs!
Hope your cough is only a short-term, non-painful thing.
Crap to the cough! May it go away:):) Chrissy puddings...looks yum. If we out ours aside for 6 weeks it'd be mouldy!!! The joys of hot Chrissy weather, eh;)!!!!! Crossing fingers for interesting craft books from far away:):) we swam on the weekend. 39C. Just sayin' ....!!!!!!
It sounds like you had a productive Christmas prepping weekend. I hope you enjoyed your time at the spa and it helped your cough x
Hope you are feeling better - we're sneezing and sniffling here. Christmas puddings are made and waiting down in the basement - from last year, not going to make one this year I announced. I'll do one after Christmas for next year.
Well done on the Christmas pudding making! I don't make my own any more, too much steaming! Hope your cough gets better soon, and hope you enjoyed your spa day!
oh Sian - hope that cough goes away soon for you. Sounds like there was a little of everything in your weekend. It was a laptop dieing, photo retrieving kinda weekend here....i really should back up my photos more regularly. I did manage to retrieve them but have lost everything else. Guess what's top of my Christmas list :) x x
Hope you enjoyed your Spa time and that you feel a good bit better today...and I DO like the knot!! Xx
I do hope the cough has subsided. Most people I know have it! Yes I like the knot, how do you do it? and I really like that picture of you!, there is just something about it.
I hope you're feeling all better by now! We spent the weekend & Monday at Harry Potter World - so much FUN!! I think I could develop an addiction to Butter Beer! :>)
I do hope that cough has gone away and you're feeling a lot better. I'm with Miriam - how did you do the knot.
I'm way behind (as always!) with Christmas preparations. Yours looks a good weekend and I can imagine the wonderful smells of baking and making.
Hope your cough has improved.
