Me On Monday

Scroll down for the Quirky Kits Blog Hop and Giveaway: the draw isn't until 9.00am Friday 4th July!

Postcard Update: We have room for one more in the Pile Of Postcards Exchange as I have now gathered 47 names. One more would bring us to a round 48 which would be 8 groups of 6. If you fancy it, please drop me an email before the end of Monday. And thank you for the amazing response! I'll be sending out the addresses very soon.
eta: we have one more participant to we're almost ready to post!

Soo..Me On Monday? I'm back - gingerly (ha!) - on two feet and it feels fantastic

So it was a less hopping, more stripey tshirt shopping, Granny visiting, greenhouse tidying, garden admiring, nostalgia indulging kind of weekend.

We went to see Granny and that always means spotting little glimpses of childhood: a box of toys peeping out from under the bed, the bookshelves Grandpa made, now we'd call them  "mid century modern", stuffed with books from long long ago, bits of the garden reclaimed after years covered in trees, and my Dad's greenhouse, still standing even after all this time. It's good to take a quick picture or two..

How was your weekend? Last week several of you gave me a wave on Monday and it was lovely! It's always good to catch up....

Bet it feels lovely being back able to run around again :)

Gotta love those peeks back into our past, something comforting about them. x

Hello Sian, so lovely to see you 'hopping' I miss having grans or even mums to go to for a look into the past. This is such a lovely meme you've got going. I'm not up to taking it on at the moment although I would like to.

Great news! So pleased to hear you are healing well.
How lovely to go back and rediscover parts of your growing up. I bet there are a few Bunty annuals lurking on those shelves somewhere!

Just love those peeks into your past. I was sorely tempted to join the postcard swap but have been banned from any more swaps till I get my arse organised (By you know who - and seeing as he posts all my stuff without charging me - I can't really argue. And organisation WAS meant to be my word for the year. Ahem.) I shall have fun seeing what you all get up too :)

So glad you are feeling well and looking fabulous! Isn't it funny how mid-century modern is all the rage now? I wish I had hung on to some of the things I grew up with. :-)

Isn't being back on the feet marvelous?! I broke my foot two summers ago (fell off my bike! ack!) and the recovery was a bummer! Glad to see you're sans casts/boots/crutches! Take 'er slow.

So great to see you on two feet again! Glad that you healed up before your vacation. Those books brought back memories. I wish I'd taken some pics at my Dad's place before we moved him into his retirement residence.
