Me On Monday

Sooo....it was supposed to be a Fathers Day celebrating, Grannie F in hospital visiting, football watching, coffee cake eating, sunshine enjoying, baby blanket finishing kind of weekend.

And it was all of those things BUT

it was also a take-Sian-to-the-A&E-Dept Sunday:

I have fractured a bone in my foot. They tell me it's a football injury. Though I've only been watching it. Not playing it. I have no idea how it happened. No idea at all. But for entertainment now at least I get to tell Little E all about how to use crutches. "Don't try any somersaults Auntie Sian," he said when he heard. "You can't do somersaults with a broken foot."

That would be right.

Have a good week everyone! I'll be sitting here. You know, doing sitting down stuff....

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear this. I hope it's not too painful, but it looks and sounds pretty serious. So strange that you don't know how it happened. Hope there are lots of sitting-down projects on your "want to do" list! Wishing you a fast recovery!

Oh my goodness, poor you! hope its not too painful, just enough to get lots of tea and sympathy? I bet you'll have a ton of stuff in the planning book by the time you can get back up those stairs. Get well soon and no somersaulting mind...

oh my goodness no! I do hope you're on the mend soon and back to your football playing ways again :) ... but for now, its a sitting down knitting/crocheting kind of time for you. Oh and get yourself a coffee servant lol. Get well soon xx

Oh dear Sian! Sorry to hear this. Hope it mends soon, but I guess there will be lots of crotchet and knitting for you in the near future. PS love the idea of a coffee servant!

I'm so sorry to hear about your football injury! Just goes to show you can get hurt even if you only watch! Kidding. If you were going to break anything, this sounds like a good option. You can do a lot of stuff with your hands while sitting down. Take advantage of that. Oh, and too bad you can't clean!

Oh no! It's a bit like the England physio who broke his ankle celebrating the goal!
So sorry to hear you are on crutches, but you listen to Dr Little E, no somersaults, ok?!

Oh Sian ... what a rotten thing to happen.

I know someone who broke a bone in hers after sitting on a floor for too long cutting put paper shapes for a classroom display! So ... paper-crafting can be dangerous too ...

At least this way you can carry on scrapping, but maybe on the ground floor rather than high in the sky though.

And how handy to have 2 willing servants unencumbered by educational demands on hand to tend to you!

Get better very very soon. OK? xx

Definitely no somersaulting for you! Hope it heals quickly with rest and you don't get too stir crazy.

Oh you poor thing! Hope it is not too painful and that it heals quickly. At least you can still knit with a broken bone in your foot :)

Oh no, I hope you're ok. I really do think you need to make up a fabulous story about how you broke it though :) I hope it heals quickly x

Oh no! I hope it's not too painful. Little E is quite right so don't be attempting any of those. I hope you're able to manage some of the stairs in your house ok. Sounds like it's time for some knitting, crocheting or reading.

Little E is very wise and I hope you'll heed his advice! I'm sorry to hear you've somehow been in the wars, but I'm pleased to know that the TTO is home for the summer and will hopefully cater to your every whim. TA and TNSSO can help him out when they are home from work/school! Ah, he hasn't got himself a summer job, has he?

Oh dear,Sian.....and England never have any idea how their matches always get 'broken' either!!
Hope you're soon on the mend....meanwhile you can sit and crochet and knit....while everyone else looks after you.

Oh Sian! I'm so sorry to hear of your injury! My sister-in-law broke her heel the same way - had no idea what happened but it was fractured just the same. She said that if her foot was going to be fractured the least the universe could have done was to give her a good story! Maybe you can make one up while you are healing! Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

You poor dear. I do hope you manage to use it a bit to your advantage - maybe a little being served instead of serving action can happen there. Heal quick!

Wishing you speedy healing! If I were confined, it would be my excuse to finally clean up my computer files - been avoiding forever - and do a LOT of crafting projects!

Ouch! I have ready your blog posts out of order so I know you have found some things to do sitting down. I hope it heals quickly as I would imagine it would get old quite quickly. Take care and enjoy Little E's visit.

I've been away Sian so just now catching up. Sorry to hear about your foot injury - I wonder how that happened when all you've been doing is watching the football?! Anyway, hoping it isn't too uncomfortable and a speedy recovery. At least you can do some crochet/sewing/reading x
