April Ahoy!

No foolin' - how can it be April already? The final day of March here was a beautiful one, so bright and sunny, part of me thinks I'd like to stay March-bound for a bit longer. I have my Mother's day bath bubbles and Spring bulbs to enjoy, though, and the thought of our student's return from a term away (that would be on Saturday). AND I still have lots of bits and pieces from the March Jenni Bowlin kit, all spread out on my desk, willing me to make something else.

I have made another page

and it fits with my jot "Tourist In My own Town" challenge because it's the other layout I did with  photos taken by my lovely blogging friend Ruth. (Thanks again, Ruth!) This kit mixed gold with silver, so I was determined to get both onto one page with silver alphas and gold rubons. The navy patterned paper is a kit exclusive, and as well as that beautiful blue, it has an extra little touch I love: the month is printed on the cut off strip.

I was able to use it to date my page and to mark my month at Jenni Bowlin.

At the beginning of March I began playing about with a few pieces to make an inspiration board for the month. It's the photo I sent JBS when I was asked for a picture of something in my workspace (and it's on the Jenni Bowlin Studio Inspiration Blog today, along with a photo of Little Me)

Now I'm looking out at the rain today and thinking I'll just add a few more umbrella bits and keep it going through April. Happy when it rains that postcard says. let's see if that lasts!

looking out the window at rain that splashes when it hits the ground - cheered up by your lovely yellow and blue (a fabulous combo I seem to forget until I see it again)

Rainy days are perfect for scrapbooking---if you can manage to stay in! Love your little sprinkle of the gold stars on your layout.

Your inspiration board is, well, inspiring. I really like that the chicken wire lets you clip things or thread things, or whatever. As far as the rain goes, I'm usually glad to see it too--sometimes because it gives me just the excuse I need in order to stay home!

I have a bulletin board over my desk which I always thought I'd make into an inspiration board. Yours inspires me to rethink it totally! Love the chicken wire, though, much better than a bulletin board. And the layout---another favorite of mine. That navy blue exclusive paper and the stars, oh my! It was lots of fun to see you at Jenni Bowlin. Somehow I missed that you'd been there in March.

Love your inspiration board and the layout looks terrific. March flew right by for us it seems, I'm hoping April is a bit slower. :)

Lovely page, very watery blues. Congrats on the JMB blog appearance too.

I've been thinking and pondering about an inspiration board at the next place - on the presumption I have a wee bit more space.

Navy blue doesn't seem to be a common colour on scrapbook pages that I can recall. That paper is lovely it almost looks like fabric.

I'm another one that wanted March to last a little bit longer. I love the page, the papers are perfect for the photos.
