Photo365+1

Photo 365+1? It's been a while. I'm still taking a photo every day, still looking forward to checking the prompt and coming up with a picture. Here are some of my recent favourites, starting with ..

..entrance

You have all seen our black front door, so I looked for another and I found this one. It's the entrance to a miniature shop which I made after a trip to Cape Cod in the 1990's. We saw lots of craft and folk art shops and I decided to make one of my own when I came home. Inside it looks like this:

small

I took this one by holding my camera in through the front window. That's a quilt I sewed and you can just see the corner of another, rolled up to the left.

Today I also have..
..pastel (our Easter pinata)

lots and lots (our Easter eggs)

elegant

and girly (my necklaces in Ikea jewellery drawers)

Thanks for the inspiration Suzie! Over a hundred photos already? We're nearly a third of the way through the year! Have a great Friday.

Now there's an organised person (thinking jewellery drawers here)! The doll's (?) house looks intriguing, and that top photo could easily fit the criteria for entrance, small, elegant, and pastel all on its own. :)

PS When I said "dolls'" I wasn't sure how miniature it is, given you had to bring it home from abroad ... And apologies for the faulty apostrophe.

wow Sian....a beautiful shop, did you make it from a kit? Like Alexa I was thinking you are terribly orgainised to have a jewellery draw.

I love organised jewelry as well...mine are sorted by colour hanging on pegs on the wall in the bedroom....I wish I could be as organised in other areas!!
And I love that little shop...am very impressed with your sewing of mini quilts....trying to do anything very mini tends to make me twitch a bit!

I love your little shop and the quilt is so sweet. I have a hankering to make a dolls house, I loved mine when I was a little girl. Maybe when I retire!

Lovely group of photos Sian. I've never heard of an Easter pinata... is that in place of the hunt?

That minature shop is very impressive, you never cease to amaze me with all your skills! I love the 'elegant' photo too. You're doing very well with all the photo prompts, I should be trying this too as I need more photos that aren't just of grinning kiddies! x

Maybe I should do a post about the shop? I love dollshouses and have another story to share sometime about the one I once got for CHristmas. Yes, the shop is from a kit. It's 1/12th scale.

Cheri - we usually have our eggs sitting out for us at our place at the breakfast table on Easter morning. The pinata (filled with jelly beans and other such delights) was requested by TSO who likes hitting things with big sticks apparently

Wow Sian you made that shop? Yes, you should definitely dedicate a whole blogpost to it I want to know more. The tiny quilts - lovely.

And I feel so unorganised now I've seen your drawer. Is that a felted ball necklace?

Pinatas are a tradition here but never for Easter. Fun idea.

Love the little shop - have a friend who makes such things. Amazing amount of work, love and dedication.
