Today I'm Sending..

If you managed to get hold of a copy of Scrap365 this month you might have seen my October Afternoon mini album. I found the scraps the other day and I decided to make some cards

The scaled down patterns in the 8x8 paper pads are full of shapes I want to cut out and stick down.

I pulled out a little "Today" stamp so that I could create a set of all- occasion cards. "Today" on the outside and I can follow that with any message I need on the inside

I think I'll nominate these as my Monthly Make for March. Have you been keeping up? It's definitely not too late to join Annie the Felt Fairy and her band of Merry Makers..

..and so today I'm sending you a reminder. Don't forget - Storytelling Sunday this coming weekend. The First of April! -  don't be a fool, have your story ready!

Sian, your cards are lovely.

I'm going to be away from the computer for a few days at that time and will not be able to participate in this month's STS, sure, I could schedule a post, but somehow it doesn't seem to be in the spirit of things and I'd regret not being able to make my way around to all the stories.
I look forward to reading through them when I return - I am sure there will be many great yarns!

Goodness, that seems to have come around quickly this month!
Great idea to use 'today' as the sentiment.

Hi Sian,

I love every single one of these cards! The vintage look is so appealing; is that because we want to step back to a time that was simpler? But wait, we wouldn't have all these fabulous blogs to look at!

Hugs,
Kay

You have me wanting to break into my OA stash! These cards are so sweet. I love the idea of using "Today" as a sentiment that we can follow with anything.

Lovely cards Sian - I'm going to hunt down Scrap 365 this weekend I hope. I love seeing your work in there - it always makes me go "Oooh, someone I know!" Looking forward to devouring it.

P.S. I LOVE October Afternoon - they're my favourite company - and I love how you've used some the the patterns and images that I would normally avoid or use the B-side of. Thanks for the ideas!

I love the first one and the third one especially - there's something about those kids that appeal to me.
Thanks for the reminder about Storytelling Sunday. I had forgotten about it, but I think I have an idea!

Pretty pretty! The today sentiment works well with so many types of greetings! I cannot believe it will be April already! Thanks for the STS reminder and thank goodness I have a few days to think of something ;)

These October Afternoon elements made wonderful cards. I'm always so focused on stamps that I forget what great cards can be made with embellishments and creative use of paper.

These cards are gorgeous, bright and sweet. I love the idea of just having 'today' as the sentiment on the front. x

Sian, they look wonderful. I'm always so tempted to cut out items from my papers but then the thought of all that fine cutting with my now arthritic hand stops me. I should give it a try though.
