My Month in Numbers - January

I'm counting again this month. I'm joining Julie and her Month in Numbers

and I've changed my strips strategy. Instead of stacking them up, this month I've laid them side by side for a different layout look. Still trying to keep the colours in tune with the month, though, so I have picked a "pale and interesting" scheme for January. Then I couldn't resist adding a little bit of tartan. For a nod to Burns Night and the tartans we often see in magazine spreads at this time of year.

There are a couple of little spaces I'll be filling up with non-internet worthy stuff, but what you can see for now:

529 miles to Paris, for that much talked about school trip

31 days of photographs for 365+1 successfully taken

3 days of work experience with Bernard the Barrister for The Tall One. He loved every minute and would start work now if he could. Oh, and 3 extra dance sessions for The (Not So) Small One.

2 knitting projects still piled up beside me on the sofa. They'll be finished by this time next month...

4 purchases from Ikea, including a bargain mirror which is taller than I am and which we are turning on its side and hanging above the bathroom basin

and finally £50 for a provisional driving licence. To be closely followed by a set of lessons. Maybe he won't need too many. Here's hoping..

This month there is a Month In Numbers Pinterest board to follow. See you there?

Great post, you're scrapbooking is gorgeous! Yes hopefully not many lessons as it's not cheap! Can't believe how much the provisional license itself costs! :0 have a fab feb!

Great post - your February numbers might have a lot of 0s on when you start adding up those driving lessons.

Goodness the provisional licence is pricey these days! Although it's a drop in the ocean, compared to insuring a car for a newly qualified teenage driver! My nephew has a 'black box' in his car and that makes it considerably cheaper.
Nearly forgot to say that I love the pale and interesting LO :o)

Love this page especially the little touch of tartan

Comparing a trolley of groceries over at Ruth's and driving lessons here, well, it's cheaper for everything there, lessons would be double down here.
Great layout Sian.

As long as it's not you who they've turned sideways and hung above the bathroom basin ...

Lovely soft page [great to hear Tall + Small are having so many life adventures!]

Thanks for playing along Sian, you're all pinned to the MonthinNumbers Pinterest board now: http://pinterest.com/notesonpaper/my-month-in-numbers/

Wow £50 - as bad as renewing a passport which I need to do for my eldest so she can adventure to France for the day with her school!

As always great page.

Such a lovely page and turning the columns in a new direction is certainly eye-catching.

Hope your daughter had a great time and has lots of stories about her adventure. What fun for your son to spend time in Chambers. I bet he can't wait.

I always find it interesting what people get up each month. I am going to join in this month but as usual I'm behind schedule....just on the thinking stage:(

Fab page Sian - loving the tartan butterfly - very sweet. I have a note of my numbers but it will likely be the weekend before I get a layout done with them

I love the pattern combo on today's layout. The sizes and colors really set each other off perfectly!
I love the miles to Paris fact, too!
Someone suggested I could do a month in numbers with all my clearing out numbers - I'm thinking on that one.

so lovely Sian and your butterfly embellie is just gorgeous.

£50 is it really that much for a provisional - dread to think how much the lessons are!

Works really well in these strips - and love the 'pale and interesting' look for this month! Hoping the Not So Small One has a glorious time. :)

At least the provisional lasts a few years (my two use it as ID - there aren't any lessons being taken)!
Love your page - I'm hoping to scrap mine at Saturday's crop ... loads to inspire me thanks to Julie's Pinterest board!

Love the page, especially the tartan/butterfly. Is it exciting or nerve wracking to have one learning to drive?

I love the whole concept of this page. I managed to take a photo every day--usually more than one, but I did forget to keep track of numbers. I'm starting a list for February NOW!
