Midnight Rooster

It's Midnight Rooster week here on High In The Sky. I'm a huge fan of this kit club! When Tobi asked if I'd like to be the January guest designer, I couldn't have been more excited. There is something a bit special about the way a Midnight Rooster kit is put together, from the colour and the texture right through to the wonderful handmade, exclusive embellishments.

Today I'm showing two of the layouts I made, with more to come. This kit is packed!

See the stamped tag? That came with the kit. As did the October Afternoon Flyers I made the kit from, and the Studio Calico Scraps I used for the kit tail

There's another handmade tag and some more of the lovely October Afternoon Farmhouse collection

I enjoyed putting these pages together - everything in the kit coordinates so cleverly - and I didn't stop until I'd used almost every last scrap. More later in the week!

One of the stand outs of your LOs is the lovely stash and embellishments (and then you put them together so beautifully too!). Looking forward to seeing th erest - I just wish I had less stash so that I could buy a kit!!!!!

What a beautiful shot of T(not so)SO. Gorgeous LOS. You have such a knack for putting all those different patterns together and pulling it off.
I love those corrugated letters.

I've never bought a kit, Sian, but you have aroused my interest. What lovely pages. I love the journalling on the first one, and the way you used a block of squares on the second. Hope you have lots of fun with the rest of the kit.

I have some corrugated letters but I wasn't sure when I would use them. Like them with the background you have chosen. They work well and it is a beautiful photo. Love the butterfly tag too.

Many congratulations on being the Guest Designer! I can see you've had lots of fun with the lovely kit and, being a fan of grids, I really like your history one in particular. with the clustering around the tag. A visual treat ...

Congrats on the guest designer gig---they sure knew who to pick! The layouts are gorgeous. I love the simplicity of the first one with the wonderful kite leading you through the layout. The second one is stunning, and the concept is wonderful.

Great pages and a lovely kit. I love the little printed tag, the kite and its string tail, the corrugated letters.
Also love the squares all over the second page - with the teeny square photo of Sian, hiding there amongst all the goodies!
I must admit I am tempted by this kit and I've added Midnight Rooster's shop to my Etsy favourites... but I have sooooooo much paper and stash already.. Sigh, maybe next month...
Thank you for sharing your lovely pages and the fab little kit, Sian!

2 great layouts,Sian...looks like that's a good kit club....I always worry that with kits I'll pay a lot and then not like most of it!!
Love the photo of TNSSO.

Really like both these layouts and the kit certainly seems to be super. Isn't it great when a kit comes through that you really feel like that about? Used to love that :-)

Their kits are fabulous and I absolutely adore what you've done with them. I love those corrugated letters - they add so much impact to a layout don't they?

I was thinking how much I loved the first layout and then I saw the second one - it'a hard to tell which one I love the most. Ok, I've got to research this kit & see if I can get it over here - big disadvantage not having an LSS
