My Month in Numbers: October 2011

Last month I joined in with the excellent Julie's Month in Numbers. It turned out to be such a neat way to look back on what we had done, that I  felt myself counting things in October. And that felt kind of new! So I thought a layout might be the next step.

Funny thing, though. I might have been counting; but I don't seem to have been taking pictures (apart from party ones , of course. They'll be in a divided page protector next to this page.) So I did a no-photo layout; and if I get the chance I'll repeat the same design in November (and beyond) in a style to suit.

And our month?

The birthdays - 80 and 40
1 Autumn Concert in the Cathedral here, with the school choir giving us Faure's Requiem
2 tickets to Elvis Costello, so that 2 sisters could enjoy a night out on their own.
26 years together
429 (or maybe many, many more) punched out witch shapes for my Halloween Chandelier.

November? Bring it on!

Storytelling Sunday this Sunday. Are you ready?

Lots of numbers that give cause for celebration this month:)
That was a lot of punched/die cut shapes! Did you really count them all?!! The finished product was well worth the effort.

I agree - it is a great way to look back on your month. Love your page.

Great page Sian - thanks for joining in again. I'm so pleased you've found it a good way to summarise your days!

Claireliz has been making a non-photo layout for her Month in Numbers throughout the year - so it does seem to be an achieveble method.

From one crazy counter-upper to another - I *love* that you counted the shapes. I've been there. ;-)

I've added a link to you in the original post now: http://notesonpaper.blogspot.com/2011/10/my-month-innumbers-2011-october.html

Thanks for your statistical company this month!

I really like the idea of a numbers page as a summary each month - and I love the little girl looking at yours

This is a lovely way of looking back on a month and I may have to think of doing this sometime. I like to have a theme or focus as it can make it more fun and meaningful.

Why bother with photos when the information itself is so interesting - and the ways it's presented so prettily done. I love your little girl standing looking at it!

Your LO is perfect WITHOUT pics Sian...you must have been seeing witches in your sleep!

I really enjoy making pages without photos and I think you have done a marvellous job here with this one.

I am a bit stumped with STS this month, I missed the last one because I was away and this one feels out of whack for me .... I am sure it will change by Sunday! :-)

It is addicting! I really should think about making pages with mine too! Loved reading your numbers ~I am already thinking about what to count this month :)

This is just perfection, so much to love about your layout. And if you had really counted anything 429 times, I might be tempted to call the whole thing an obsession...... ; )

A lovely layout even without photos - a great way to remember what went on during your month :)

I like non photo layouts, every time I do them I wonder why I don't do them more often. Fun list of things and numbers.

Getting ready for storytelling sunday, now I've finished prepping for tomorrow. :)

Gorgeous page Sian! I love the little girl and the hot air balloon paper. Count me as another Elvis Costello fan - we've seen him 3 or 4 times, I think. He never disappoints!

The numbers are a great way of summarising a month, I might try and jot down some numbers as I go along or I might not remember by the end of the month!

Great looking layout Sian. I still have to do month in numbers post. :)

I love this idea. I did it once while we were on a road trip and it made for a great page. I don't think I'm too far into November to try this. It's a great layout; I'm another fan of the embellishments.

so good to see pages that record the important stuff even if we didn't photograph it...its too easy for that stuff to be forgotten :0)

What a fun numbers layout! And divided page protectors with the party photos is a wonderful idea - I love using those in my albums when I have quite a few photos from one event.
