Miss Smith's Giveaway with a Twist

Miss Smith is 200 today! Actually, no. That's not quite right. BUt it got your attention, didn't it?

Actually, the excellent Miss Smith is celebrating her 200th blog post today. Hurray! There is always something creative and lovely to admire over at Curiouser and Curiouser; so of course Miss Smith (oh, go on then, let's call her Kirsty, seeing we are partying) was bound to come up with a smart way to mark the occasion. She made embellishments. Lots and lots of beautiful embellishments. And then she put them in the post and we all oohed and ahhed when they arrived.

I made a card with mine:

It was so small and neat and perfectly formed that (as I was delighted to discover) it fitted right into the centre of a Martha Stewart doily. Then all I had to do was add a quirky message for Kirsty, because I know how she loves a bit of quirk.

Happy 200th post, Kirsty!

And happy hopping to you! There are lots of other embellishments to admire, so best thing you can do now is hop on to Carrie at A Princess Ponders and see what she has created. Or you could always start  at the beginning right here.

Have a great weekend..

Your scrapping styles are very similar so I am not surprised her embellie suits a project of yours so well Sian!

Yay, congratulations to Miss Smith/Kirsty the Curious...
I can't comment on her blog (probs with my pc setup since the re-load!). So I can't tell her how fabby I think her blog is, or pass on congratulations.
Maybe you might do it for me, when you're next "over there?" I'd be so pleased!

The little card is very sweet - it's nice that you're sending it back to Kirsty. I love the encouraging message on the front - I'm sure Kirsty will be happy to go along with that suggestion.

Oh, and Sian, did you see mine and Jo's Invitation on our blogs? Can you come along? Maybe, perhaps? Fly into Birmingham.... Oh wouldn't it be fun!

That's so pretty Sian, the red really zings with against the other colours. For someone who says they cant make cards, your not doing a bad job at it;)

Ooh, it's so pretty. Love that blue polkadot paper. And I really love the doily. Is it a doily you can buy or a punch to punch your own? Either way - I want! Tell me where I get me me one of those?!

Also - love the styling for the photo. I really have to make more effort and stop just photographing my cards on my desk. x

That's a beautiful card. Now I was thinking you'd been a bit quiet, but now I'm here on the hop (as it were) I realise you have been blogging but for some reason you have not been appearing via Google Reader. Either you have been one of the numerous error messages I have been getting or Reader has spontaneously turned you off. I will investigate and hopefully will not be so long between visits in future.
