Further Adventures of LSNED

I've made my next set of tags and I've hung them on my new shelf. Maybe you'd like to see?

What have I learned? Let me think..
  • That some opportunities you have to work for, you have to make them happen; and others appear out of nowhere. They are both good.
  • That the waiting for an unpleasant thing you know is round the corner can be worse than the thing itself.
  • That September light and August light aren't the same and I need to find a new time of day for taking pictures.
  • That taking the time to leave a heartfelt comment can make a difference to someone's day.

And

That I can keep my fingers crossed for peace and quiet as much as I like. But six teenage boys on a sleepover will still watch all-night Rugby World Cup coverage whilst eating approximately four hundred bags of crisps. Still they have gone now; and I'm having a nice calm day to recover. Have a great one yourself!

I love your tags! Each is unique and yet they still flow beautifully.

6 teenage boys would frighten the life out of me! LOL

Your tags look so beautiful on your shelf! Love the sentiments. Number two rings true for me. (Not fun being a worry wart.) Hope you have a quiet Sunday. Can't imagine sleepovers with lots of teenage boys but I am kind of happy that my daughter's sleepover days are over. There was never that much sleeping going on. hee hee

Tags are looking great and I love your lessons. I particularly like the contrast of string and lace.

Rugby sleepover sounds fun - I've been re-arranging my schedule to accomodate rugby watching in the morning

I saw the start of that game last night ... but had to turn off at the sight of the deal breaker ... that goal by JW still sends a shiver down our spines. I'm not a big rugby follower, our guys had a shakey start today but ended up with a good win - big match up next though! I can just imagine what that sleepover was like ...

The tags are looking great Sian - are you enjoying the project this year?

Your tags are gorgeous and so is that shelf. Certainly lessons I can relate to there. The rugby has taken over here too! My son woke up at 4am for the game, but decided to go back to sleep again, very sensible.

Your displays are beautiful, Sian. A real pleasure to see. I wish I'd thought of the idea of using tags. It is really original an a fun way of doing LSNED. I am wondering if you will continue to hang them or bind them into an album?

I love that the tags are all different yet form part of the whole. I know what you mean about the light. I have moved into the greenhouse to take photo's!! The shelf is gorgeous.

Fab tag hanging - and only 400 bags? Hopefully they wer all eaten rather than ground into the carpet and lost between the sofa cushions. I keep saying we don't need to go to the shops as there must be half a larder's worth inside our sofas!

WV? That's new!

I remember that sort of sleepover only too well!!!

Another beautiful set of tags, Sian. I can so relate to your second "learning" that anticipating something unpleasant often is worse than the real event. I'm saving your tags to my visualize.us account for further inspiration!

I'm trying to imagine the amount of crumbs 400 bags of crisps create!!!

I love your tags and how they look hung on your new shelf

Great lessons especially this one: That the waiting for an unpleasant thing you know is round the corner can be worse than the thing itself. Which I am a pro at!!!
Your tags are lovely and they are perfect hanging there on the new shelf!

PS: I can not imagine the recovery needed after such a sleepover!!!! ;)

Love the tags and they look so pretty displayed like that.

As for the Rugby, no idea but enjoying hearing people telling me about it so excitedly... Amadeus informed me he was busy this weekend so couldn't help out, "It's the World Cup!" ;)

Such a lovely shelf, and I can imagine that in future it will display lots of other pretty things too! I especially like that last tag - are you using your Slice for the cutting? Since my frustrated adventures with the Craft Robo I am pondering an alternative ... Yes, my Dad is enthusiastic about the rugby too, and he's nearly eight-eight. Apparently there's months of it to come Sigh! I admire your stamina with six tall rubgy-orientated sixth formers!

Would I be able to send my husband over for the sleep over, I've already had enough if the rugby and it's only just started lol

Lovely tags Sian! I really like that wide lace on the 7th one.

LOL, with delight, at the thought of a rugby world cup sleep over! And lovely tags - a return of my favorite giant moth, plus the lace on #7 is very cool (almost dress-like).

I love the tags, all so beautiful. The boys sleepover made me laugh and took me back to the days when my boys were in school - and later when they were in the army. "Some of the boys are coming to my wedding, ok if they stay over?" There were only about four of them but it seemd a lot more. All in their early 20s all "fighting" fit and just back off exercise and all very loud. Those were the days eh? Wouldn't have missed it for the world!

...and I thought I had it bad having ONE nearly teenage girl stay over with my lot for a sleepover!

Love these tags and love what you have learnt as someone whose day is frequently lifted by the comments of others I can wholeheartedly agree on that one.

That shelf is stunning and the tags are an absolute work of art too. I would have been up all night with the boys eating crisps and watching the rugby given half the chance. Sadly I am no longer a teenager though. Loving your LSNED tags and it has given me the perfect idea for JYC, would you mind if I copied it? xx

TTO and six more like him? How brilliant! But maybe not so much for TNSSO ...
The tags are really pretty ~ what size did you say they were? Oh, and nice shelf, very nice.

Oh dear... I still have the teenage boys' sleepovers to come, I suppose! Pizza-sauce in the rug... crip crumbs down the sofa (perhaps we should wait a bit longer, before we invest in new sofas).
Love the tags - and the Lessons. I so agree with the first one; the past year, I have "made it happen" and created some opportunities for myself - which has been great - but the real pleasures have been when unexpected things have come up - such as being offered the chance to tutor at the local sewing/patchwork/crafting shop, or getting so many orders in my Etsy shop (which I confess I didn't quite expect, even though I did work hard to promote it!). Life is definitely what you make it, but it's so lovely when something unexpected (and nice) comes along!

Do I see a peg-string (or two)? Made by the "LizzieMade" method perhaps? However you made them, they are fab - love the bakers' twine!
