August At Gotta Craft

Today I have two pages I made with the August Gotta Craft kit. It was blissful! No, really. It was Authentique's new Blissful collection and I did enjoy using it very much.

First of all I made this one:

taking the photo of me in my grey shirt as my starting point. I'm looking contemplative, don't you think? The little fold up journaling card in the kit was perfect for tucking away some private thoughts.

And then I made this:

which was inspired by the chipboard banners in the kit. I added some buttons from my stash and a few flashes of pink with papers from one of the new Authentique 6x6 paper pads. 6x6? Perfect! I'm always hoarding my full sheets of patterned paper to use as backgrounds. This way I can use smaller sheets to add accents and make embellishments. And I will. Oh, yes, you can count on it.

Two really lovely LO's, and how different they are even though they're made from the same kit :) I must get back into scrapping again!

Yellow and grey - those papers were made for you. I love the banner with the addition of your buttons. I'm looking forward to seeing what other embellishments you make.

They both look great - love the colours in the first one and those flowers. Great idea using the 6x6 pads. I haven't been much into patterned paper but that seems to be changing lately.

I've heard so much about that paper line, and now I see why. Your pages are wonderful.

These are lovely, you have such a good way with these colours. I feel hopeless with vintage-y colours on pages, my mind doesn't seem to be able to create. I really admire your pages!

Lemony ellow and grey is one of my favourite combinations - this is a perfectly stylish page, and will keep you the way you are now for many years! I love those carefully cut out flowers, so beautifully placed ...

Your pages are beautiful. I have been coveting those Authentique papers, are they as lovely as they look ?

Love them both! Yellow and grey are my favorite combo right now. I picked up a few 6x6 paper packs recently. I have to agree - save the big sheets for background and use the small ones to cut up! Great idea! :)

The first one looks as if you are trying to solve the world's problems. I hope so, because we need all the help we can get!

The second is just simply a happy page and definitely made me want to go there.

I saw the detailed images of that first layout over on the Gotta Craft website. Just a wee bit swoonsome! The banners on your Bergen layout are absolutely delicious too!

I love both of these so much! It is my new fave colour scheme. Just catching up with all your posts - goodness you have been busy! Loving your eclectic style right now.

These are both stunning layouts, and I now think I may need to find some Authentique papers.

I've had quite the loveliest time catching up with all the posts I missed while I was away. I especially loved the five about your crafting life. I've often thought about doing a layout on a similar theme.

That first photo is very pensive, but I absolutely adore the Bergen photo and LO.
