Jemma's Blogiversary Hop

When Jemma from Just Jimjams asked me if I'd like to be part of her one year of blogging celebrations, I said I'd be delighted. She was  quick to make me feel welcome when I joined UK scrappers (years ago now, wow!) and her encouragement ever since has been very welcome. Happy Blogging Birthday Jemma!

Please write a post for a blog hop she said. Well, I have been thinking about numbers and anniversaries this week because it's our Wedding anniversary soon; so I thought how handy! how nifty! I'll show them my latest Pinterest inspiration.

Lately on Pinterest I have noticed very pretty photos of rings. So I decided to take a picture of my own engagement ring, bought by a boy who was still a student, for a girl who was - still a student.

Marry me he said. And because she said yes, he found a holiday job in a mobile tourist office which was really a caravan pitched in a carpark. So he bought her a ring and she loves it to this day. But she's very glad she now has a photo because her ring doesn't have seven stones anymore. Just before she went on holiday she discovered she had dropped a diamond. She's waiting for it to come back. He says it will. And he always keeps his promises.

So now it's over to you. You will find a number hidden somewhere in my post. Collect a number from each of Jemma's blogiversary friends, put them in numerical order and them email her with the number missing from the sequence. And to do that of course, you need to move along on the hop. Next stop is Hilary from Pictures and Paper Bits. So, go! Pick up another number! And Jemma? Keep on blogging!

Do hope you find the stone, I lost my diamond out of mine some years ago I hunted everywhere as I thought but couldn't find it. It reappeared 3 months later, caught under my tumble dryer, It must have been under there all the time but every time I pulled the dryer out it never showed up until that moment. I sobbed with relief when I recovered it.

Photos of things that then change soon afterwards have been appealing to me lately - but your ring is prettier than my taps - and more important. I hope the stone turns up!

I lost a diamond once due to a broken shank - unfortunately I'd been all over town and round the local hospital during the day it was lost - no chance of recovery :( The insurance covered it luckily!
Hope yours comes back soon!

Thanks you SO much for all your encouragement is my year of blogging!

Lovely romantic background for a very pretty ring. I lost my engagement ring and it was missing for a while. It turned up in the door seal of my washing machine!
Off to find the beginning of the hop:)

What a shame Sian I do hope you find it soon.

On holiday my heart went out to a lady who lost her whole ring while on the beach. She hunted and hunted but didn't manage to find it. It must have been heartbreaking.

I love this idea of taking a photo of your wedding ring! I may do the same as I leave it in my jewelry box and opt to wear a simple band. ;) Hope you find the stone. So sad.

Hoping it will make its reappearance very soon. :) and that's a lovely photo. I've lost two wedding rings already - DH is threatening me with a piece of sawn-off copper piping if I lose the current one!

Great photo of your very pretty ring. I should take a photo of mine. I can't wear them at the moment because my fingers got too swollen when I was pregnant and haven't shrunk down yet! x

Happy Anniversary! Lovely story and photo.

There was a empathy filled groan when someone reported losing their wedding ring somewhere on the 20 min walk to and from the accommodation and campus last week :(
