Steps Back in Amazement

I did it. I dared to digi. I was charmed by Alexa's very easy to follow downloadable pdf. And, of course, by the fact that I have always admired her style very much indeed.

So here it is. My very first ever digital page. I know it's not perfect, but I love its simplicity. I love how I can change little bits of it if I want to. And I love how easy it is to post it here.

Will I ever give up cutting and sticking? No. Will I do more digi? Yes. Definitely (thank you Alexa!). I have plenty of space on the walls here I could fill with some framed pages, so watch this space....

I'll be back to paper during the week, with new Gotta Craft layouts and a question- answering Captured In a Card post

well done sian, the page looks great! I'm always a bit daunted by digi, plus I'm not sure how easy it would be on my little netbook. One day I'll give it a go I'm sure! x

Well done. I'm still just dipping my toe in the digital pond, but like you i don't think I'll be giving up the cutting and sticking.

Woo Hoo, well done Sian, what a great page! But beware, collecting digi kits is pretty much as addictive as collecting paper (except that they get hidden on your hard drive and not in boxes, hee hee!).

Great page Sian, Digi can be as addictive as paper, just in a different way, and then there's always the combination of the two. Have fun playing.

Well done with the digi! I've had a little dabble, but I really much prefer my cutting and sticking in real life!

What a very thoughtful LO :) love it. I tried digi once before and got very frustrated with it, and went straight back to paper and glue!

I love it and I love the sentiment behind it :D

Well done on the Alexa-style-digi; at least there are no drop shadows or complicated layers to cope with. I can see the appeal of these graphic digi pages, but the looking-like-paper-digi is just way more effort than it's worth ... with nothing to stroke.

It looks super Sian! Love the little story it tells too.

Great digi Sian! Glad to hear that you are not retiring your glue and scissors though. ;) I'm tactile and LOVE to make a mess! ;) Have a great day!! :)

Congrats on your first digi page...I'll be on the lookout for other digital efforts as well as your paper-and-paste creations. Your success with both just shows that creativity is in the person, not the medium!

Delighted you found it easier than you'd anticipated and I love what you've done - very thoughtful as always! I like the thought of your gorgeous tall house whizzing round the globe four times a week :).

I just knew that when you did digi, it would be amazing ... and you sure don't disappoint. :)

you did a great job Sian! After you play a little, you'll discover there are things you can do in digi that you can't do in paper... and you'll know that there are reasons for each one and both will be a part of your creativity repertoire.

Love your digi house! Just read your comment on Deb's post, and I just have to remark, "You know what they say about people who love sardines." OH MY!

I do love digi - but could never do it myself ... you did a great job - and your house is amazing - I love it. Could I be any more green ? (and that's envy, not the glitter that I STILL haven't got rid of completely yet! *lol*)

Yay for your first digi page! I love the clean look and the journaling. But like you, I could never give up the tactile experience of paper.

Great digital layout - I like that it is all about blogging! I agree, I'm not giving up my paper and adhesives, but I enjoy the digital every once in a while.

It turned out awesome! I need to do a layout about my blog, I know one day I'll wish I had. Yay for Alexa getting you to digi :) So glad From High In The Sky comes to my part of the world on a regular basis.

I've not embraced digi yet...but I love the graphic style of your first digi LO!! Way to go!! But don't hang up your scissore & glue will you?!!! :)

Lovely page, Sian. Crogratulations!
I've done the odd digi page and enjoy it now and then but for me nothing will beat the stroking of papers, glue on the fingers, and glitter EVERYWHERE!

Be warned, Sian ... digi is the dark side!

Oh it's lovely Sian. I love the tall house sketch - and the simplicity as you say. I too live in a tall house - 3 stories and love all of the stairs! Ideally, my scraproom will be at the top of the house too. I just have to work out how to move everything around in order for it to fit! It's like a jigsaw puzzle! *Ü* Thanks for the pdf link. I shall go try digi myself - soon. TFS. ~Glen~
