Pass The Book: September's Adopter And A Layout

I've done the draw, I'm going to name the name..but first I'd love to show you the page I made inspired by this month's book:

Still Missing is about a little boy who disappears. His mother calls the police and, when the detective arrives, of course the first thing he does is ask for a description: Tell me a little more about him Mrs Selky.

And that's where my title comes from. How, Susan Selky wonders, Can you tell a little about your whole child? I used it as a way of bringing together lots of little left over snaps and I couldn't resist photographing it on that small boy's present day teenage desk. (He doesn't know about that bit, but he has spent some time wondering why he looks so deeply depressed in all his baby pictures). Anyway, back to the main event...

The first adopter for September's book is....Amy which means Still Missing will be making its way to Australia. I hope she enjoys it! Don't forget that if you would like an opportunity to be next, keep an eye on Amy's blog for the next chance. And if you are still interested in August's offering, Sandi's draw is still open here. There'll be a new book in October, remember, and suggestions are always welcome. What do you think?

LOVE this layout done on the ledger paper with school embellishments. Funny you mention your boy and his serious expressions. My niece Presley was the same way when she was little, though she's much more smile-y now! :o)

Congrats to Amy! xo

What a great idea for a layout; and what pretty execution of the idea. I think I'll start setting side little photos to do something similar. Thanks to you and Beth for the inspiration.

Love how you've done the layout to match the book....and the way you've managed to get so many photos in it....without it looking crowded at all....but why did he look so 'deeply depressed'????

Jacky, I think because at two he knew he couldn't rule the world; but at fifteen he is starting to believe it might just be possible..

I'm really looking forward to reading this one - thanks Sian :-) Actually, now I'm busting to now all about it .....

I love layouts that show a variety of photos from different stages and ages, so TTO thinks he's ready to take over the world? ;-)

Love your page, Sian - how you've grouped the photos and still got room for a really interestingly designed title ... Has he (or you?) come up with any explanations yet?

The idea for this layout was just brilliant. I'm quite sure it would have never occurred to me. And it's execution is just as great!

I think I may have to try and track this down on Amazon, it sounds a good read!
Love the layout, isn't it strange how young boys can't act 'normal' in front of a camera?
