Inspiration Station

Where do you go when you want a bit of inspiration? Any blogs or books you love to turn to? This week I have been looking at:
  • This post by Lobster and Swan. I love this blog for its visual delights and I was inspired by her lovely yellow and blue photos. They made me realise that The Small One and I have been working a bit of a yellow and blue look ourselves. It started with a coat I bought on the autumn, then we moved on from shirts and scarves to necklaces and macs; and now we're looking ahead to summer with some harebell coloured plimsolls. One size fits all in this house; so she doesn't know it yet, but oh yes they will be mine.

  • This book which is full of stunning photographs and wonderful blogs

  • This girl. Stephanie Howell's pages continue to delight me. This month I loved one of her gallery creations for Studio Calico so much that I lifted it completely. This is her design flipped slightly to fit my photo. I wanted to do it because the photo just fits.

Today I'm Loving...this article to help with bloggers block. See what you think!

Loving the coat and all the accessories.

I have a huge list of blogs I follow and I can more or less always find something to inspire me depending on my crafting mood. My only problem is once I start reading a blog I tend to drift onto others they have linked to and end up on a cruise across blogland and never actually end up crafting lol

It's blogs all the way for me. Have found so many inspirational ones via Shimelle's classes, and by clicking on blogs that other people follow too. Plus the monthly crop that I go to. I'm still such a newbie at this and have so much to learn!

One blog worth mentioning is: This Little Blog of Mine http://nelliemaeii.blogspot.com/
She is so young and fresh and different that I really love it whenever she puts up a new post.

I find so much inspiration on other blogs....though like Kerry I can easily find I keep blog hopping rather than crafting!! Love the look of that book...have added it to my wish list at Amazon...an ever increasing list!!

I think your yellow and blue combinations are lovely, I agree with you about Stephanie Howell's layouts - they are fantastic! I'm going to have a look at the book you've posted about and, I'm starting to worry that I spend way too much time in front of a screen. Inspiration is everywhere - like others here though .... it needs to be turned into something in order for it to be useful - sitting in front of a screen for large chunks of my day is not ideal. I still don't feel as though I'm finding a balance between computer time/hobby time and real life time!

Yes, like many others, I can find lots of inspiration via my blog-hopping (and this is one of those blogs I hop to!). And, like others, I have to be careful not to spend all my crafting time blogging instead!!

My inspiration starts with Google Reader and expands into the blogosphere at large. My sister bought me that book for Christmas - it was fun to thumb through and there are a few sites I actually need to go back to and check out in person!

I'll admit I've been looking at that book for some time now, I think I might just have to push order :)

As someone that hasn't long started blogging, I'm just stunned at the talent of other bloggers - I lose hours just reading and loving the inspiration that you all give.

I like to cruise blogs...your included...& galleries of my fave challenge sites. Sometimes a rummage through the photo box will be enough to fire my creative mojo! Thanks for all the inspirational links & may I say that you obviously have your finger on the pulse of fashion trends! I'm loving that spotty scarf & definitely the plimsoles!

I save inspirational cards, scrapbook pages, and photographs to vi.sualize.us and go there for inspiration often. I've just started saving entire blog posts on Delicious and go there as well. I have LOTS of books and several notebooks, but don't use those as often. Tracy gave me the Blogging for Bliss book for Christmas. I haven't work my way totally through it yet, but I agree its a lovely book filled with inspiration. As is your blog, by the way.
