- My family. If they do something blog-able, then they make me even happier. Like the funny emergency message I got yesterday from The Small One. Sent illegally from the school computer, it said: I've got a hole in my tights. It's ok, Jenny is covering me; but it's bringing me down, man.
- The clunk of the letterbox. Post is exciting. Apart from the bills. Obviously. I let The Accountant open those. If the envelope's brown, then put it down.
- Blogging. And reading blogs. And comments which say "You made me smile today"
- The smell when I pop the lid off a new can of coffee beans. I'm even happier if I can do it without cutting my finger.
- TK Maxx on a good day. Especially if whatever I spot I can bring home on my own without help. Walking away from that coffee table was hard.
- Shelving books. No, really. Once a librarian, always a librarian. Bet I can carry more books in one hand than you can. Also buying books, reading books and thinking about all of the above.
- Making things. But not the dinner (unless it's roast potatoes)
- Decorating the house. But not cleaning it.
- Feeding my stunt goldfish. I trained them myself.
- Finishing up a page. Maybe like this one:
And I would like to pass this award on to..well, this was hard. I read and enjoy everyone on Jacky's list so I've chosen some others which make me happy:
- Jo..who always seems to know what I'm talking about.
- Micayla..whose love of family and fabric is infectious.
- Deanna..who knows a good book when she sees one.
- Deb..because her Rocky Road recipe rocks
- Anna..who makes quirkily cool layouts and has an excellent taste in music.
Check them out. And if you know of a blog you think I would like, let me know. I always have room for one more.

Oh, The Small One is funny :D And I know what you mean about TK Maxx on a good day, it's an all or nothing kind of place and I can imagine that sneaking in a coffee table unoticed would be difficult ;)
More on the stunt goldfish, if you please. :)
This is a great list of happy things. Yes, you made me smile this morning! :o)
You made me smile several times during that post! :-) Most of the things on your list would also make it to mine - but sadly I don't have stunt goldfish. Maybe I should train The Hamster? x
Love the l/o - the title makes me smile! Great picture too, The color schemed and elements are wonderfully classic, yet still really fun.

hahaha this post made me chuckle, thanks for the good laugh!
It would appear that I'm not the only one desperate to learn more about the stunt goldfish! :D
Thanks for the award ... oh, and for the compliment on my taste in music! lol
Wonderful layout!
those are lovely things that make you happy - but you make lots of people happy with your wonderful turn of phrase & sense of humour! :)
What lovely happy things Sian. I love the illegal message, it made me chuckle.
Thank you so much for the award, I have just posted so will get around to it next post.
xx
We only have an extremely lazy dog who would not perform a stunt if her life depended on it! She certainly will NOT perform for food - she nonchelantly(sp) walks away;-)
I used to always worry about slicing my finger into the baby formula tin - they probably would not have needed the extra iron!
Well this did make me smile today:) The little ones comment is so funny and love your happy things, some of which are my happy things too. Best blog i've read this week:)
i hope this comment makes you smile...because your whole post is making me smile today! esp. love the little one's comments!
i will be visiting again! ;0)
Stunt goldfish? The only stunt my fish can perform is living. Seems my cats like fresh fish and no matter how I secure the aquarium, they get in.
Lovely LO :)
I feel happier for reading your list Sian. TFS. ~Glen~
Hi Sian...thanks for dropping by...I have been very remiss in bloghopping for the YLTTL & posting my photo's to the gallery! But I am enjoying putting things into practice...although, like you retaining everything is a challenge!! But as they say..practice makes perfect & I'm sure things will, eventually, become second nature!! Sandi x
Smiles here too ~ thank you!
Great LO (as always) ~ love those photographs too :)
