It Could Almost Be Christmas!

Oh, I'm getting that "we're nearly there!" feeling. Are you excited yet? I am. I had a marathon wrapping spree this morning and I think I won. It's always a bit hard to tell, because I'm really not very good. For someone who spends her every spare moment cutting pieces of paper apart and glueing them back together again, I put in a pretty poor showing in the gift wrapping department. I can make little tiny scraps do exactly what I want them to do - but big sheets? They just won't behave. And when they get together with the sticky tape? Mmm. The less said, the better. It's the thought that counts, though. Am I right?

I've got a few more December pages finished too - not in any order. I'm just going with the flow. Starting to love this 8x8 size. It's compact and bijou, as the estate agents round here would say. Cute, too. I think I'll do more in the New Year. I hope your plans are moving along nicely. Are we going to be ready in time? I think we are!

Today I'm Loving...Girls who don't keep all the good ideas to themselves. This gift pouch tutorial by Petrina McDonald is a fabulous example. Happy Week Before Christmas!

Lovely and beautiful and gorgeous pages :-) I'm liking 8x8, too - it might become my new favourite size!

And if my thought counts, I think you're right about the wrapping... ;-)

Nice pages - I adore the MUSIC one. . . great background paper and photo. I have two more busy work-work days and then I get to focus a bit more on the holidays. I've been doing a lot as I've moved along, so there's not a ton left to do. Really looking forward to it!

I love this size as well...though my fave of the moment is 8 x 11 1/2.......cause you can get more on it....but much quicker to do than 12 x 12.
Love your pages.... and am completely with you on the wrapping front.

Great blog Sian, and your pages are lovely. I have about 6 bottles of glimmer mist, and I am now inspired to give it a try! Thanks for dropping by my JYC blog; still haven't started my art journal, but the kids broke up from school today, so I may (ha,ha) get more time!

Love your felted Christmas tree, Sian! Such beautifully crafted work ... A joy to admire. :) Am I ready? Am I heck! Nope, and so far behind, cstching up is not an option. Eggs and beans on Christmas Day, anyone? x alexa

I go through stages where I deliberately seek out rectangular shaped presents to give me every opportunity to at least have SOME HOPE on the wrapping front - I've even been known to ask at the fruit and veg shop for any left over boxes - and, I've bought them when I've been super desperate ... you are not alone!
Aside from all that - cute pages:-)

Yay more gorgeous pages. Your album is really stunning Sian.
Yes I am starting to have problems getting to sleep.....too excited! We are almost done, just a clean up and a few more bits to do.
Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year if I don't get to stop by before.

Love the music page - also your Day 9 page (I have just read my way through your last 4 or 5 posts - it's been so chaotic here!).

Thanks for the link to the tutorial for the gift pouch. Might try that.

Love your blog Sian, it's great! One of the ones that always has me laughing at some point.

I hope you are all feeling better now and are looking forward to your Christmas celebrations.

Don't forget the Zippies! (to make the tops stay on, you can brush on beaten egg with a dribble of milk, but then, that would disappoint your brother).

Don't worry about the wrapping - you are right. As someone said to my mum when she had the same problem - "Don't worry, we're only going to rip it all off anyway".
