I'd just about reached the end of a packet of Teresa Collins diecuts (from a kit by Gossamer Blue) and I was seriously thinking about trying to find some more, when I flipped the packaging over and discovered that each of the shapes was printed in miniature on the back..
so I grabbed my scissors and cut them all out...
The big arrow is from the original pack: with one small and one large shape I was able to play with scale. The doodled circle is a rub on from Crate Paper |
....with one diecut on its own...

Lovely cards and great idea!
I love it when the packaging contains pictures I can cut out. It's like a bonus! Your cards are great!
I like it when they have an index of the items on the back - but I usually cross them out as I use them - in fact, I had just put that into a blog post. But you have me rethinking that. Those are so cute on cards.
What an inspired way to use up the packaging....lovely cards.
Such a thrifty use of packaging! What a terrific scale for your beautiful cards. I love it when people share ideas like this! :)
Brilliant! I wonder how many of those I've thrown away in the past without thinking about it!
Such a fab idea - great cards
That really is getting value for money! Great idea and such cute cards :)
What a clever idea Sian!
Great idea Sian. I'm guessing I'll be keeping and cutting out the back of packs from now on.
Super card x
VERY clever.... but fussy cutting.....ugh! That takes committment! LOOOOVE the result...that 2nd one with the 'minis' cluster.....gorgeous:):)
lovely cards Sian and what a lovely surprise to find another set on the back!
Oh lovely cards and diecuts, been thinking about that kit too. I do like it when there is a copy on the packaging, I realised going through my home made PL cards how many are made from packaging.
Great idea and lovely cards :)
What great looking cards and such a super idea!
Fantastic idea & great cards!
Oh sian these are superb. I can see why you loved those stickers so much x
You give new meaning to the phrase "waste not, want not" and end up with something uniquely you as a result.
Great tip! I love saving and using packaging. :)
