Looking Forward

I thought I was going to be a bit short of material this week. Blog fodder. Stories. I'm sure you understand. So I phoned my sister in a panic.

"Quick." I said. "Give me something good."

"Aah." she said.

"You could tell them about the time you made us play Girl Guide Camp in the back garden. Which would have been okay except you ran it to a time table. In real time.

Or the time you fell into the tadpole pond and we had to go home early because you had to borrow a pair of somebody else's big purple pants.

Or the time you were learning to drive and you took the corner so wide all the shopping fell out of the bags and a cabbage started rolling round the inside of the car and you got really mad when we shouted Coleslaw! at you for the rest of the afternoon."

"Oh." I said. "Not out of stories quite yet, then. I'll keep scrapbooking."

And storytelling. Don't forget - Storytelling Sunday this coming weekend. I'll be ready, you can bet on it.

I've been overwhelmed by the number of get well soon messages you have been kind enough to send me since Saturday. Thank you so much. I've been replying to them all as best I can - it's so very good to be able to use the computer again wthout a sore head! I've been catching up on some blog reading and planning some new projects for Scrap365, for Sandra at Gotta Craft and for a Guest DT spot I have coming up at the end of March. Looking forward feels like fun again.

I love the sound of the purple pants lol reminds me of the bright orange plastic ones my brother and I had to go swimming in when we were very young.

I can't imagine you would ever be out of stories Sian. Glad to hear you are feeling a little better. Take care of yourself.

Oh no, that would be a disaster - Sian can't run out of stories, the world would grind to a halt.
"Big purple pants" eh? Hmm... that reminds me of the day when....

So pleased to hear you are on the mend and able to use the computer again. Severe headaches are no joke. Keep on with the improvements and keep smiling (and storytelling!).

The big purple pants made me laugh it reminds me of a photo of me aged about 8 in the most hideous swimming costume ever.....now where is that photo - well hidden I hope :) Nice to see you back Sian.

The Coleslaw made me laugh out loud and you didn't even tell it all yet. I am so glad you feel better, you have been missed - and I will NOT say the obvious line about that, honest.
Looking forward to Sunday and I will remind my daughter too.

struggling to understand how there could be a story in running a girl guide camp in the garden to a timetable - I thought everyone made their sisters do that !!!

Glad to hear you're feeling better. The coleslaw story reminded me of a driving story my brother might tell about me. Must find some way to scrap it.

Oh, how funny. I'd say you have lots of potential stories!! I have my own coleslaw story but it's a bit gruesome..... involves cutting the tip of a finger.

The butterflies and thread look quite promising..
Hugs,
Kay
