June Projects at Gossamer Blue

If June's in bloom, it must be time for a new set of kits at Gossamer Blue. The colours for June are stunning: so fresh and pretty and clearly right for this time of year round here, because it took me no time at all to decide which recent stories I was going to tell.

First of all I made this one:

SianF for June at Gossamer Blue

which records my meeting last week with a favourite scrapbooker and blogger, the delightful Mardi Winen. When I was making this page, I was very conscious of wanting to put together something Mardi would like. I hope these flowers work!

I cut them from a sheet of Simple Stories Carpe Diem in the Main Kit. The sticky note frame and enamel dots are also from the Main Kit, the green "story" is in the Life Pages Themed Add On and the alphabet is from the Bits & Pieces Kit.

Next I went back to the beginning of May for a birthday picture and I made this page with a photo of the birthday girl checking her messages

I created a little bit of an inky background first and then picked out the colours of one of the papers from the 6x6 pad in the Bits & Pieces kit. The black "fronds" are a stamp from the Life Pages Kit and the acrylic pieces are in the Main Kit.

I love how this colour combination turned out!

And finally, for now, a recent story you might recognise about a knitting project I needed to rework.

This page originated with the little "these things happen" stamp

and with those two wood veneer clips, both from the Life Pages kit. See what I mean about the colours? They are shouting right now! to me. Everything from June's selections at Gossamer Blue. As for July, keep your eye on Gossamer Blue's IG feed. The sneaks of something big are starting.

Like I said on Insta....that title with the stripes on the Mardi page. LOVE! I'm sure she'll adore the flowers. The birthday page is a beauty & my fave, the sock story.....that tape, the pegs! So many goodies to feast one's eyes on. AND I must say, the colours in this kit are right up my street. LOVE!!

These are so so beautiful Sian. I adore the colours on the second one and would totally scrap lift the whole thing. If, y'know, I ever were to sit down to scrap again ...

I'm not big on florals, but I love all the pages and the moments you've captured. That last one is my favourite.

I adore the layout you created to celebrate our meeting... but then...I adore everything you create. I have had the post holiday blues so badly since we came home....I've found it hard to settle to anything. I am hoping some scrapbooking inspiration grabs me soon because I have so many stories to tell. Our meeting still stands out as a holiday highlight even though it was ever so brief. Mardi x
