Fab Gadget: a Scrapbook Page

It was my turn on the Gossamer Blue blog yesterday, so I made a page in what I guess you could say was two shakes of a mouse's tail

It was the wired ribbon that did it. As soon as I started twisting it in my fingers - because I just had to use it - I realised I had a tail. And then that meant I had to come up with a tale to go with it and I remembered a photo I had of a little white pencil sharpener, so I made this:

That little pencil sharpener has turned out to be one of the best 50p's I've never spent. It's not even mine: it belongs to the girl with an eye for a bargain, an interest in colouring pencils and a mother who loves useful stationery items and isn't above borrowing them when her daughter is out of the house.

But think about it: if you were to make a list of your favourite little things which didn't cost a lot, but which work perfectly and look attractive in some way at the same time...wouldn't it include a few items from the stationery aisle?

Perfectly plain pencils, maybe? A neat little stapler? A pack of buff coloured luggage labels? What's your pleasure?

Oh yes, there are so many wonderful office supply products that would make my list of favorites . . . like cute colorful butterfly clips!

Oh this is cute - the pencil sharpener and the page. I like how the ribbon inspired you. I have a dragon pencil sharpener that sits on my desk and makes me smile. :)

I really like your mouse pencil sharpener & that page that tells its tale (tail).

Best freebie gadget I have is an olive green kitchen timer from my father in law's kitchen. I use it to set time for wandering Pinterest. But the coolest stationery item I have seen is my friend's red high heel tape dispenser.

My current favourites are shaped paperclips. I do love that wee sharpener and I'm glad you gave it a page (and a tail) of its own!

At the moment, one of those flower shaped paint palettes. It sits on my desk and each 'petal' holds a monster or zombie stone that I got for Christmas in my Secret Santa stocking. They are so cute and so smooth that I just like to handle them now and again , housed in my little palette they are on show and in easy reach.

Am loving reading back and catching up on everything I've missed Sian. And I've missed LOADS!

Love the tail and the tale! Ah, how I love stationery items. I'd have to look around to see what bargains I have in that category. And the page is simply gorgeous. Of course!

I love that pop of red. The story is a beaut & you're making me think I need to get my sewing machine out......but first I have to do a LO. Haven't done that for over 7 weeks now. Ewwwww.....wonder if I still can??!!!!

A super page Sian. and a cute mouse. I have a pink Tigger stapler. It's the only survivor from a bargain set bought years ago.

I'd go for a hole punch! There's so much you can do with that. Punch holes and tie things on or make a border. Endless possibilities.

Adorable page love your tale and tail! And when it comes to stationery items - there is a lot of sharing between Mom and daughter in this house as well - often when one or the other is not around!!
