Friday's a Good Day For..

Friday feels like a good day for...

...remembering that it's World Cardmaking Day next Saturday. I've made an early start because I couldn't wait to break into the bargain card kits I ordered from a recent Studio Calico sale

....and for admitting to feeling a little blue as I've been missing lots of my favourite blogs. My Reader has been much emptier than usual of late. I'm so hoping for updates from lots of you soon. (Though all the round up Scavenger Hunt posts have been brilliant! And I hope Abi's Time For Tea tomorrow will see lots of news hit the blogosphere) I think that's why I started on the cards, to say hello and send good wishes

...and for stirring up everything on my desk and putting away as much as I can. And then realising that Supplies On Hand - starting next week - is going to help me use up LOTS of stuff, so maybe I could just leave it all where I can see it. If anyone is interested in joining us, I have a link for a discount code click on Supplies On Hand

...and for simply wishing everyone a good weekend. Maybe you'll come back and tell me about it on Monday?

Fantastic cards! I've just returned from the post office where I sent off the last three cards I made for birthdays of our great-niece and two of our nephews. Hope you have a great weekend!

Aw, you tugged at my heart strings just a little with the mentioning of blog posts being low. I have noticed that too, and I'm even struggling to post as much as I used to. While I do have an excuse of my time being preoccupied, I'll admit to not feeling very inspired to blog lately. Hoping it comes back around soon - or at least when my classes are complete at the end of this year! xo

Oh, I haven't made a "scrappy" card since the Spring - love these, you have inspired me! I know I have a load of blanks somewhere......hmmmm!

Great card :-)

I miss blogging, I have been up to my eyes in decorating, but I am taking the weekend off and I do have plenty of events that need scrapping. I'm not behind of course but I totted up the other day the things I should scrap and there is a two page list from this spring and summer that I haven't even touched.

I've been noticing the emptier reader too - you are one of the few constants - and I know it has had an impact on me blogging less. Time to reverse the downward spiral - thanks for the prod

Fab cards - shame I will have to miss all the cardmaking activities as I am at an album launch next weekend, I will just have to make some this weekend instead!!

Maybe lots of people will join in with Blogtoberfest so they are saving themselves till then - I know I have been keeping stuff back so that I can blog for 31 days!!

I just love these cards! They are so different than the ones I create. I love how you manage to use so many wonderful products and create such a cohesive design!

Lovely cards Sian. I have not been on the computer much in the past week or two as we have been on holiday and I have been busy running book making classes since I got back. That means I've not been visiting blogs, let alone writing. Time for some catching up. At least I don't feel so bad knowing that your reader has been generally quiet and that others have said the same. Perhaps everyone is extra busy?

My Reader has been emptier too. Lately I'm feeling less of a connection to the blogging community that I thought I was part of, which in turn means I blog less. I guess everyone is just so busy in their every day lives that most don't have time to respond to blog comments or emails.

Meant to say, after seeing your comment on Abi's blog, I had to check out your Pinterest dressmaking board. Do you know Laura's blog, Behind the Hedgerow? I think you might like it.

Now there's an eye-popping range of cards - I like the bolder graphic feel for a change. And I am sucker for maps, of course ...

Hello back! What a fun collection of cards--I especially like that you used the same ribbon each one.

Hello - what lovely cards :) I've got a couple of kits sitting on my desk to be used but have been out in the garden. I think people blog less in the summer - except for the hunt of course!
