Journal Your Christmas - Do You See What I See?

After a break for Gary The Magnificent and his moustache, it's back to a bit of Christmas programming today. I have a few more pages for my December album.

Like this:

and this:

A green ruffley bow for a green ruffley skirt. I blogged this story last year. When I wear this skirt, my Mum always says "Why not add some tinsel and baubles?"

and even this:

Just a little extra page. Photo printed with Pogo printer. One is looking very like his Dad. The other has just pinched her Dad's hat out of the boot of the car

and finally this:

Page 10 is another pullout with an old black and white photo - that's my cousin you can see peeping out there. The rest of us don't look much happier on our joint trip to see Santa. But the page isn't quite finished yet, so it'll have to wait for another day.

It might pop up on Facebook. We've been chatting about Florabella Actions and the arrival of the new copy of Scrap365. If you're a Facebook afficionado, please come on over. I could do with the help!

Enjoy your Tuesday

What a joy it would be for someone to find your albums in their attic. Daily life captured in such an interesting way and lovely to look at too.

Love the skirt and wearing your Dad's hat has to be done at some point in your life, tell her to be thankful it wasn't my Dad's hat-for-work! That was his old army beret that he wore to keep the grease off his hair. He was a welder and made gates and fixed council lorries. I put his hat on once euw! euwwww!

More beautiful pages Sian; it must be really something to be able to bump into Uncle Dave on your walks. Felt a bit like that when we bumped into Kev's family when we were in Starbucks last Christmas in the UK. Love your skirt too; oh how I miss wearing boots! x

love seeing your christmassy pages and reading your stories! Yes finding an old box of decoartions would be great. And of course, vintage decs are really in this year!! (I'm coveting MILs decs from the 1960s!)

Love the page with the kids (so grown-up), and the attic story. The only worthwhile thing I ever found in an attic was an old green bookcase which sat in our "old" kitchen. I couldn't bear to get rid of it, so we painted it black and it's on the basement stairs landing. Perfect spot for the onions, potatoes, and spare paper products.

Love your pages Sian! We've only ever bought one house and it was new construction, so nothing fun to be found in the attic! I can only imagine what treasures you might find though!

Oh, Sian, I loved seeing these pages and reading your lovely journaling. I really LOVE your skirt photo and page. :o)

I would LOVE to find an old box of Christmas ornaments somewhere along the way. I think I'll make a trip to the local thirft store today...just to see what I can find.

I want that skirt too! What's the problem with Facebook? I love that your pages are not overly Christmassy and that its all about the journalling - it makes wonderful reading.

Love your attic story,Sian...we've frequently found stuff in attics when we've moved....mainly junk....though we did find some christmas decorations in the roof here.....you wouldn't have wanted them....you can take my word for it!!!!

Loving your pages so far - and smiling at the thought of decorations. We had (may still have!) the old no-longer-functioning Christmas lights from when I was little, with Santa Clauses on ...

Love the journaling about your brother and the tree number element on the other page. Sounds like you're really enjoying the season.

More beautiful pages Sian. Yes used to love it when the Christmas decs came out and we would struggle to locate it all. It used be great if you discovered a box that had not been out for a few years! Ours are kept in the attic too but not quite the same as now I work up here it is very organised!

Sian your journal is incredible. I love the mix of stories and your dreams of finding someone else's treasures in your loft. We've only ever found a wardrobe and wall tiles :)!!!

Your album is looking fantastic... whimsical actually... I love it Sian :) I love the photo of your pretty skirt and the attic story is something to ponder isn't it? (I might ask them if I could keep 1 or 2 ornaments for good measure... that is if it happened to me ;)

Your album is coming along so nicely Sian! How fun that you are enjoying seeing your brother more often right now by just simply looking around.

We've never found any boxes in the attic, but I did score a really nice glass Christmas tray that someone left in the very back of a large cabinet once.

BTW - thanks for the Christmas card, I just love that little tree with the bow on it!

I'm going to have to go back to start at the beginning on this album, but I'm alread loving it. Your pages are so thoughtful and lovely to look at. I love that skirt, it's so happy and festive - the party starts wearing THAT skirt! Also, I think it would be a lovely treasure to discover forgotten Christmas decorations from long ago (or not so long ago).

Your pages are so lovely Sian, I love that you are handwriting them. In our last attic there was a row of old brown beer bottles sitting on the end wall, they were still there when we left. In this attic there was a box of pretty china flower pots and saucers, now in use in my greenhouse. Oh the skirt is fab!

Slowly catching up on all the posts I missed in December and seeing all your JYC pages are a real treat. Oh wouldn't it be nice to find an old box of decorations. I have some of my parents' ones but so few - they are so treasured I don't even put them on the tree in case something happens to them. Hmmm, thats a story for sometime I think. :)
