Pass The Book: The Tenth

It's Pass The Book day today. I have a brand new, just published one for you and I love it:

Just look at the inside:

It's Painted Pages by Sarah Ahearn Bellemare and anyone with even a passing interest in creating a sketchbook or a mixed media journal will find something to enjoy in here. My favourite chapter was "Write it Out" - a guide to using dictionary pages, poems, the written word, as a starting point for journal pages. But there is something to catch your eye on every page, really.

So, same as always. Leave a comment if you would like to be included in the draw for this one; and remember that you can always check its progress on the information page here if it doesn't come to you this time. A quick look there today, for example, would reveal that Beverly from BE Glorious is currently passing on Molly Wizenberg's A Homemade Life. So take a look here to put your name down for that one. It's worth a read too.

And, finally, last but definitely not least for today - I am delighted to be able to tell you that after July, when Pass The Book will be a year old, the brilliant, book-loving Melissa from Daily Life - Bits and Pieces will be taking over. She volunteered and I said yes, please! I can't wait to see what she comes up with. That will be from August, but you could jump over there and say hello now. She would be delighted to meet you!

Well, that is just lovely and very thoughtful of Melissa to continue the tradition! I have thoroughly enjoyed this initiative Sian and I certainly appreciate your generosity ... I suppose they will start to make their way home soon?

10 already, and this one looks like a beauty too. I'm sure Melissa will carry on the tradition in grand style as well. Thanks, Sian for getting us started!

Gosh nearly a year of passing on - and what a success it's been! Please don't add me to the draw though - my "to be read" pile is just too big at the moment!

Oh Sian - this books just SCREAMS me! I would so LOVE a chance at it... in fact, if we weren't on a total spending freeze (with Jay having zero prospects right now for employment) I'd probably be on Amazon buying it!

Thanks so much for all your work in Pass the Book! I've actually gotten one of the books in the past year and Blogging for Bliss (my round robin) is still circulating. And kudos to Melissa for giving you a break going forward.

Hi Sian! I love this choice and would like to be in the draw!

Thanks so much for Pass the Book and all that you have done to keep it going! As you are aware I was fortunate to have had the opportunity to receive one of your picks which gave me my own inspirations! I look forward to Melissa's picks-she does so well with her book reviews she is sure to have some interesting choices!

Hi Sian!! An unrelated comment here. I just took a peek at your Embellished Doily project inspired by Christine Middleton. It is so beautiful and you did such a great job of it! My sister and I have just found this project and are so excited to start working on it together. Now I have the fun of looking at the creations of you ladies last year!! Thanks for some more inspiration! Hope you had a few more chances to use the word "spiffy" today! ;)

I totally missed this great idea and it has been going on a year already. I remember our own book swap and what a great idea it was. Just the sort of thing a librarian would come up with. Yes please, can I play ?

That looks like a wonderful book (don't put me in the list though) but I just wanted to say how great your photos are looking with the staging etc - really lovely.
