The Post Of Procrastination

Today I have lots of things I could be doing. I have lots of things I should be doing. But then again..

  • I could spend hours Mad Men -ing myself (I found this thanks to Rosie - please do some more blogging soon Rosie!)

  • Do you think she looks like me?
  • I could start googling "sinus problems", so that I know what I'm talking about when I see the Specialist on Thursday. Then again, maybe not. I'll leave it to him to know what he's talking about.
  • I could browse Daily Post for some fantastic blogging prompts. There's a new one every day, all year.
  • I could stop knitting Little E's sweater (again) and look out some new wool for Knit-A-Square which sends hats and blanket squares to South Africa. Now, this one I will get round to.
  • I could thank Carmen, Kelli, RachelB, Sandie and Sandra who have all given me blog awards recently. But I'll do that properly with a Random Five on Saturday.
And when I've done all that, there'll be nothing else for it: I'll have to do the ironing. But first? I think I'll change into something green, so I look more like my Mad Men image. After all, round here they do call me:

The Queen Of Green

thanks for the knit a square link - my desire to knit while watching TV far outruns my need for knitted items

I've only ever watched the very first episode of Mad Men, but I thought that at some point I would be destined to watch the whole series. Must put that on my teux deux list soon.

I thought the song was about "All Yellow", but maybe it should be changed to "Everything Green" (or there's always "It's not easy being green" I suppose...). I do love that scrap page - the fun photo at the bottom and the arrangement of little green hearts. I've seen this done before, using squares of paper, but this is muuuuch better! And now I have another idea for something to try with my New Scalloped Heart Punch. Yay!

Thanks for all the Links, Sian. You're always a good bet for a new blog or two (or three, or five...) Not that I should go and look really, since I have A Lot of Tidying Up to Do!! Huummm, Displacement Activities, anyone?

Love, love, LOVE your green layout, Sian. And your list of procrastination is a fun idea. I must say my list would be REALLY long right now!!! xo

The grid of hearts is wonderful! Gotta try that soon!! I still have not gotten into Mad Men. I have the first season and really need to make a pint of watching it. Knit-A-Square sounds interesting. I'm off to look! :)

What a great layout! I'm procrastinating this morning reading blogs instead of getting on to the items on my to-do list! :>)

I was going to post an admiring comment or two earlier on today, but then a girly chat, a bunch of carrot peelings, a dog-walk in the sunshine and some home-made spiced carrot soup got in the way :P

Love the hearts leading down to the Queen of Green - super page!

Love this post! All those things I ought to be doing right now if only I didn't 'have' to check out blogs ;-)
Hope you get on ok at the sinus specialist. If they mention polyps give me a shout, 'cos I've been down that road ....

Oh Sian, I am doing exactly the same as you today, putting things off. Then before you know it, it's time for bed and you feel terribly guilty. Don't get me started on sinus problems....need any info just e-mail me. Remember I had the nose op last year. Am better, just don't want any germy people near me so I don't get a cold....that then turns into synatitus (sp?).

Somehow your procrastination leads to something delightful! I usually don't have much to show for it.

Mad Men is one of my absolute favourite shows and I cannot wait for season 5 :) Another fabulous layout Sian!

I made myself a Joan-like Mad Men avatar in a red dress for my facebook page once. I adore Mad Men as a show, too.

Catching up!! I love this bit of procrastination! Gorgeous 'Green' LO & thanks for the link to knit-a-square...after reding somewhere about an appeal for crocheted squares after the Australian flood relief, I said to hubby "I wonder if they'll take knitted ones?" So now I know someone who will!!

Your previous post was just gorgeous, as was the non-picture LO...how lovely to have such a friendship that has obviously 'grown' along with you both!

Congrats on all those awards...well deserved if I may say so!!

I love how you've put this layout together! I've had a similar-ish idea brewing (completely different subject though) - but you've done it much better than I could, so I may just haveto scraplift yours... ;-)
