Look Up, Look Down (and Looking Ahead)

Today I'm joining in with Helena's photo series "Look Up, Look Down". I'm either late for last week or early for this with two photos I took in Scotland while we were travelling back from our holidays. We had stopped for an icecream at a lovely little place called Gatehouse Of Fleet; and, as we wandered round, discovering unexpected treasures like these, I couldn't help wondering if this was a road we would be getting to know well...

Down first, with wicker sculpture set into a stone wall and Up with a wooden lookout man reaching high up into the trees

..and on Thursday last, we had our answer. The exam results finally arrived and that means we are Looking Ahead here too. Our boy cracked it. He got what he needed (and more) to secure the place he had been looking for nd he's off to study Law in Scotland in September. We're proud, relieved, happy and looking forward..a new city, along a new road. I hope we can keep up..

Oh my! Delighted with the news of TTO's exam success. Law eh? I wish him every success for his future. Well done that young man.
And well done to Mum and Dad too for the hard work to get him this far.

I love the lookout man and would really like to put him on my garden wall to keep an eye on the "european" builders next door.
