So if we're half way through January (though that hardly seems possible) it must be time for the Gossamer Blue Inspiration Blog Hop; and the chance to pick up a fresh idea or two from some of the team
The January kits do a wonderful job of moving us into The New Year, with more than a hint of Valentine's Day love in pretty pinks and reds. So sweet!
Valentine's Day isn't a big thing round here, though; so I found other subjects for my main pages. And yet..how could I resist those cupid arrows completely? I came up with a different way to use some of the love. My inspiration layout this month is about simple loves: those little things, the day brighteners, the mood lifters. I made a list
Maybe you have one too? What puts a smile on your face? How about creating a Valentine's page with a difference.

Great idea - Simple Likes. I like the photo of yourself peeking out from behind the list - neat idea. I'm with you on clean sheets on the bed.
ReplyDeleteI love this list; things like that show up on my gratitude list, and it makes for a wonderful page.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great list! I love the photo peeking out on the side. Such a fun layout!
ReplyDeleteI agree with your list, little pleasures but they make a day special.
ReplyDeleteOh what a pretty layout - it lifts my mood - as much as those things lift yours. Maybe on this dreary rainy January day, I should attempt the same thing.
ReplyDeletePerfect idea for a layout Sian! Brilliant page :)
ReplyDeleteAh, simple pleasures. Clean sheets, fresh coffee and happy mail are right up there for me too.
ReplyDeleteA great list! I love how the design of this page focuses on the journaling. It's wonderful.
ReplyDeleteAs a list girl, this fills my heart with joy. It is all about the simple things in life
ReplyDeleteLove this page & your journalling.

What a great way to use some Valentine themed products. We don't make a huge deal out of Valentine's day either. I love your title---SIMPLE. I just might have to use it myself!
ReplyDeleteLove how you've used your photo! Xx
ReplyDeleteIt's funny how often the simple little things are actually what makes us happy. I've never thought to document them and I love your creative layout to share yours!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite little thing is a bathrobe on a weekend and not having to rush around! Love your layout, so lovely! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI am definitely going to borrow this idea. I love this layout and the way you documented your simple pleasures:)
ReplyDeleteAt first I was uncertain about doing a list....but, then it hit me. No better way to express your love of someone then making the list be what you think or feel they do for you. Or even how they make you feel. Yes, the list is a good idea. Thank you
ReplyDeleteMaking a list is such a great idea! Awesome layout :).
ReplyDeleteLove your idea of adapting the Valentine's Day theme.
ReplyDeleteIt's a gorgeous page and very interesting too!
Thank You~
Fantastic idea for a page using those Valentine products! I would have to include "the first sip from an ice-cold can of Coca-Cola" and "sunshine" to my list!
ReplyDeleteI agree with so many of these. One of my earliest random school memories is my year 4 teacher telling us she loved to be the fist one go read a magazine. Lunch out is my love language.
ReplyDeleteA really lovely page and such a cheeky little photo tucked in there :)
ReplyDeleteOh nice photo and lovely list. I do like such right here right now journalling pages. Valentine's Day isn't a big thing here either but loving other things? Oh yes!
ReplyDeleteA lovely page Sian. Valentine's day is pretty low key here too, though it was lovely to receive happy mail from a girlfriend in form of a Valentine's card! I love how you used this idea of love and I can share some of those on your list. The smell of fresh coffee is so evocative, and clean sheets on a bed - oh yes!!! Especially when I have a good book to read ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! I must remember it when I get home! Btw, I especially like your second o e. :)
