Little E visited on Friday. After he left we lay on the sofa recovering and talking about our plan for International Act like Little E Day. It might just make the world a better place.
Title, stars and picture frames cut with the Slice. From a sketch by Scrapidees |
Think about it. We would all wake up happy and ready to take on anything the day could bring. We'd all ask interesting questions, but still be sure we were right in the first place. And we'd all have a blast watching TV shows about singing potatoes. What could be better?
Oh, I know. We'd all enjoy giving our collection of friends and relations cute pictures of ourselves printed on a variety of novelty gift items. In a superstar sort of way, Little E (and his Mum) make sure he gets his mug on - well, mugs. And notebooks and keyrings and calendars. ..You get the idea. Last Christmas he gave me a sheet of stickers with a picture of himself wearing a sweater I had knitted for him. And yesterday I finally got round to making a page about it.
Quick Reminder - next Sunday is Storytelling Sunday, so have a think about your tale for this month. Everyone welcome!
With regular appearances on your blog little E is a superstar. Really loving the whole look of your layout and I spied one your lovely twine pom poms.
ReplyDeleteI like the thought of this day. Being looked after and fed my favourite food all day. Allowed to have a little nap in the afternoon. All my favourite tv shows... please let me know what date you choose ;-)
ReplyDeleteI'm always a fan of your layouts, but I think this is one of my favorites. I'm loving what you're doing with your Slice. Once I got my Silhouette, I've let the Slice gather dust! You're inspiring me to change that!
ReplyDeleteCute, cute, cute page. I love Scrapidees' sketches - they are a little something different.
ReplyDeleteYou are certainly making good use of your slice! Another great layout. i always say to my girls to stop wishing they are older as when you get to my age you'll want those years back!
ReplyDeleteIs it normal for me to like the singing potato programme too? It is always on when I visit families, it's the best ever.
ReplyDeleteLil E is the cutest although my Lil E is also cute but growing up fast, she starts school this September so scarey for her parents,
jo xxx
adorable ;)
ReplyDeleteYou are giving your slice some exercise already, to great effect! Yep, little E's got it made. :)
ReplyDeletegreat layout Sian, loving those slides. I see Stanley made an appearance in the photo too - my Stanley is still sitting on the side waiting for his bum to be sewn up - might get on and do that later xx
ReplyDeleteLittle e is such a cutie, love how you made the little frames for the pictures.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great page Sian, I love those little frames:)
ReplyDeleteI feel I am missing out, as I am unfamiliar with these singing potatoes!
Yes...I'm a bit sad to be past the singing potatoes stage too! Great LO and you are obviously enjoying your Slice!
ReplyDeleteAlison xx
What a great page Sian. I've got several stories in mind for next week, wonder if I can find time to scrap one of them???
ReplyDeleteLove this - especially the detail in the upper right hand corner. Great layering, as usual. And that background paper is just yummy!
ReplyDeleteRinda
well that sounds like a lovely day! :)
ReplyDeleteLovely layout, you really are using your slice so wel- I love the detail on the top right too....and I so loved your comment at the beginning saying you were laying recovering after his visit !!
ReplyDeleteThe framing is perfect for such adorable photos. Loving this layout Sian
ReplyDeleteNope... just couldn't do it. And it's all because of the singing potatoes...
ReplyDeleteI've sat and watched childrens television with my granddaughter for three whole days - it melts your brain! *lol*
Lovely post Sian and every time I read about him makes me want a Little E of my own to play with.
ReplyDeleteThe little people in our lives always bring the most joy! This LO is so sweet and I love the layered element in the top corner. I think I have that little cartoon fellow on a circular element and I think I may be cutting him out now too!! ;) How great to have a photo of Little E in his sweater knit by you.
ReplyDeleteI have often said over the past eight years that I wish I could remember being 3 or 2 or any of those ages when life was such an exhuberant experience!
ReplyDeleteinteresting to see your source for the sketch. i could see your style taking a turn towards the French: you say a lot with a little.
ReplyDeleteNo I think I have quite enough little E's at school thankyou....I'm sure the fun of singing potatoes would wain after a while. Love the LO esp your cluster of embellishments and the grid paper.
ReplyDeletesuper cute layout! I'm still trying to get my layout staging better - another great example here!
