Black and White and Teal All Over - and Beyond

It's no secret round here that one of my all-time favourite online classes is Blogging For Scrapbookers. So you won't be surprised to learn that I'm going Beyond Blogging For Scrapbookers ! I've got three weeks to learn even more about one of my favourite pastimes. Three weeks to make From High In The Sky bigger, brighter and better? I'm going to need your help!

I know you lovely readers are out there - I hear from quite a few of you, thank you - but I'm not always sure what it is you like to read about most. So, with help from my class notes, I'm trying something new today. I'm having a poll. It's very easy, so I hope you'll read to the end and then tick a box for me. Just the one! No names are required, that means if you do like to keep to yourself a bit, you can still join in. Every answer counts and I'd love to hear from you. If you have anything else you'd like to add, please feel free to leave a comment when you are finished. Or just say hello. Thank you!

But I won't leave you today without a layout (or two - I also have a new one over at Gotta Craft ) Remember my teal wedding page? Well, as I was shuffling stuff round my desk the other day, I found this photo. And I thought - what if I do the same thing backwards? A teal coloured photo on a black and white page? This is what I came up with:

Now, that poll. If you are fresh here today (and I'm kind of hoping some of you are) you can browse the tags or Take The Tour before you decide. If you are a long term follower, I guess you know what you like and all you have to do is tick. So please click here and let the voting begin..

  3. Hi Sian, I have been visiting your blog for a long time - way before I plucked up the courage to comment. Anyway I love the mix of your blog but especially the stories you tell. Long may you continue as I always enjoy a visit.

  9. That was a tough choice for me but I decided stories edged out the rest. Personally I love the mix of things you write about and share.

  12. It only let me tick one box and I wanted to tick them all! I absolutely love your blog, the variety, the stories and the humour. I know that change is good for the soul but please don't change it too much or (trying to think of a threat ...) I will come round, get Horsey and hold him hostage until you change it back!

  13. Well, I was disappointed that I could only check one box, so I had quite the difficult task! Actually I enjoy all your posts, so no worry there. I'm bookmarking this layout as I love the way you embellished the top right and left bottom corners. Something I'd like to remember to try!

  14. Joining the chorus...I was disappointed I could only check one thing, aren't we helpful? :) The only thing I wouldn't check is the sewing and knitting because I do neither. But when you post those projects I still enjoy seeing your work so I guess that does't even make the no list.

  15. Ooh Sian, that vote was a toughie! I voted Scrapbooking Lo's in the end as I figure you will tell the story behind it anyway....result!...one vote, 2 choices.

  18. I ticked "your stories," because I adore your writing, BUT your scrapbook pages are a really, really close second. And I also really like your felt/knitting/etc. projects.

  19. Hi Sian! I voted but it was hard to check only one box. I had to go with the scrapping option since it is my main passion, but I really enjoy everything on your blog! :)

  20. I found it really difficult to choose, too!! Probably the best answer for me would be all of them, because I love the mix you have already and I'm always thrilled to see a new post appear here :)

  21. Sian!! That was not an easy vote! Seriously... your blog posts are a perfect balance of everything on your vote ballot(although, I did pick the stories, still I would be lying if I said that was what I wanted to see mostly, as with the others... I like it all).

  22. Hi Sian, I ticked for stories but like the other ladies I would have ticked for scrapbooking LO's too. Although I do love your blog it always makes me smile, so please don't change it too much :)

  29. I always enjoy your blog - no fair making us chose only one thing! :>)

  30. I have to say Sian, it is hard to pick just one thing. The reason I really enjoy your blog is because it's a little different to others - you bring a little bit of everything. You're super talented, so share gorgeous creative projects .. which I adore, but I love your everyday stories too. Plus, you always share the best links around ... so just keep doing what you're doing - and please don't change your lovely blog too much - for me, you've got it pretty much spot on :)

  35. Choices, choices! That's why buffet-style restaurants are so popular: because people don't have to settle on just one thing! Anyway, everything you do is well worth the look and the read, but I'm especially hooked on the storytelling. Have a good day!
