Hooray for the weekend! The sun is shining here and I'm hopeful that there is a barbecue somewhere in my very near future. It'll be good to get outside. I've been reading and knitting and crocheting, as you might have predicted (thank you for all the suggestions!), but I've been missing the scrapbooking. So last night I thought about the nearly finished page on my desk upstairs, and about how managing stairs was probably doing great things for my arm muscles, and I made it all the way up to the top floor.
It's not a new subject - it's the one I used for One Photo & Twenty Words this month - but I thought there was a layout in it and that something quick would give me another chance to try smaller scrapbooking.
So I stuck it down, hopped over to my photographing place, took a picture and made it back downstairs in time for the football...
...then I got up this morning and looked at the picture and discovered I hadn't stuck down several of the bits I liked the most. Oh. I hustled myself back upstairs, found them lying beside my desk, glued them on and took another picture. It's not straight. I can see that now. But that's what you get when you stand on one leg. Embracing the imperfection here this morning....
...and hoping to be giving you a wave with Me On Monday. Maybe you'll wave back?

ReplyDeleteLove this layout! But you shouldn't have to hobble up to your perch in the sky to scrapbook. Get the family to bring your most important tools and bits downstairs. Then you can practice scrapbooking with very limited supplies! :)
ReplyDeleteTwo trips up to the top, you must have been missing the paper. Cute page - and I'm glad I'm not the only one who figures out after the page is photographed that I forgot to stick down a bit or two as planned.

ReplyDeleteTotally loving this change of format! And i totally agree on the ease of turning Abi's meme into pages! I love to do that (but of course it is even easier when you can walk up stairs!)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that you turned a meme into a page. I have used my one photo and twenty words a few times on a PL layout but I agree it looks fantastic as a title and journalling all in one.

The patterned library pocket is the perfect addition to your layout. I always love the little bits and pieces you use. They add just the perfect touch.

This must be a time where you wish you lived in a bungalow rather than a town house! Great layout, all that extra exercise was worth it.
