It's Taking Shape..

..over at the Quirky Kits blog today. I'm cutting up photos right here

with a page about the fun we had on Deb's Pot Luck Bog Hop (remember, in March?). Come and see!

This page will make an appearance too:

with its journaling:

"So you are on the school trip, having spent the last month with your Mum telling you it will be freezing and you need to wear a vest. Where do they take you? A rugby stadium. Sure enough, it's perishing and your camera battery fails and you do wonder where the fun (or the "education") is in that. But all the same, you save your ticket and you come home and you have develpoed an interest you never had before..boys, Rugby, which came first?"

Leo has opened up subscriptions for the next round of kits which will be going out at the end of May. All the details are here

I

  4. Like what you've done with that lovely photo - gosh, isn't the Little One not so little now! Boy ... rugby ... I'd be guessing the former first! (No personal experience, of course!).

  7. Great looking layouts Sian and the house photo works so well cut in that shape. I used to do titles from pictures years ago and can definitely see me doing that again.

  13. Your LOs could convince me :) The shaped photo title looks great and the photo of TSO is beautiful. It is a very ingenious way to include another photo on your LO as a kind of embelllishment.

  14. Boys and Rugby, a great combination for a young girl. Welcome to a stressful time in her growing up! Have never thought of cutting photos into shapes but how effective it is. I shall have to give it a try.

  15. Both gorgeous layouts - as usual - but I'm especially loving the Winter In Paris layout. I love how you've made such a colourful page, without using a photograph and that it still has such focus and style.

    You've got class lady!

  18. Cutting up photos was something I never did (I've not been scrappin' that long ;) However, like I said on the Quirky Kits post, I would have no problem cutting up photos because they can always be printed again! I love your idea of using the photo for the title.

On another note - do you know if Scrap 365 will make their issues as digital downloads? I'm starting to do that more often now.

  19. Clever ideas with the photos, it's great that with digital cameras we can cut into them without worrying about spoiling the original if it doesn't turn out how you imagined.

  20. I love the story that you tell with this LO. I only got into rugby after I met my other half!

  22. Should I confess to remembering shaped photos the first time around? No, didn't think so ;)

Boys and rugby, well I liked one of those. Do like these quirky kits but don't get through the one kit I've signed up for.
