Most of the wrapping is done now, and gifts have been delivered and we are just about to put a fresh batch of mince pies in the oven. I guess you could say our Christmas was coming along nicely.
We aren't completely on top of things - when I went to print out a photo this morning I discovered that I had imagined that trip to buy photo paper. And could I get it to print on card instead? No I could not. It's on printer paper for the time being. That's good enough.
So, the next few pages in my album:
about a gift for a friend
and a junior chef in the making
Funny, the blog names are now making it into my scrapbook pages. Did you notice that?
and those letters to Santa. In this house Mrs Santa appears in the story. She did, too, when I was growing up. That's creativity at Christmas!
I did notice the blog names lol! I also noticed the lovely pages and stories - and now I'm feeling hungry....
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure why, but this post has left me feeling quite tearful. Silly, really.
ReplyDeleteYour pages really are looking and sounding wonderful,Sian.
ReplyDeleteI love how this year's album is coming together
ReplyDeleteIt's great to see your pages and read about Christmas from your perspective!
ReplyDeletemmm mince pies! i'll be making mine tomorrow :-)
ReplyDeletei love reading your journalling x
ReplyDeleteYour pages are always so lovely Sian. I like the different grid & text papers you're using for journaling on. I'll be baking pecan pie tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteNow you are not going to eat all of the mincepies are you? Yes I noticed the bloging names and I have started to use the teen much more though I do use their proper names too....oi layabout, grumpy old man and scrooge:) Loving your pages, looks like you have lots of baked treats in store i the future...enjoy!
ReplyDeleteMince pies? I wonder if it's the same as mincemeat pies here. I've never had it before. If you have the time to scrapbook, it sounds like you really are on top of things.
ReplyDeleteJust sitting here with a silly smile on my face with this post. Really love your Christmas journalling Sian, almost melts my Bah Humbug exterior that's gone up this year (don't ask me why!)
ReplyDeleteMore wonderful Christmas memories documented. I love how you are doing this project!
ReplyDeleteI too noticed the blog names in the journal, and how lucky The Small One is to learn to cook from a chef. WIll she be helping out on Christmas Day?
ReplyDeleteI did notice the blog names too!! fab journaling Sian.
ReplyDeletegreat journalling as always. Sian!
ReplyDeleteAlison xx
I went to do some cooking and had imagined a whole list of ingredients ... I know the feeling!
ReplyDeleteLucky TSO learning to cook from a chef. Hope she continues to like cooking. Sounds like your Christmas is coming along nicely indeed. Wookie and Princess foraged for mince pies, not as good as mine but still better than none I was informed.
ReplyDeleteThe album does look lovely.
What perfect paper for the 17th! You are making good progress. I hope to put a dent in the Christmas Journal the next two days. Thank goodness most everything was done before I was needed by my friend, who is home now and needing some quiet time alone.
ReplyDeleteHohoho Merry christmas. Mrs Christmas is now firmly part of our Christmas. She was in DD's Christmas play, so will be in the teddy play she is currently rehearsing for Christmas day - plus BABW had run out of Santa costumes, so we may have Mrs and Mrs Christmas this year!!!!!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you Sian! Things have been percolating along here, too. Everything pretty low key, but still creating some special memories. Will post a round up before we head South for the weekend.

Oh yum, getting the kids to cook is something we really put a lot of emphasise on. So much so, this year, we are starting a new family tradition where everyone has to cook a dish for a meal. We are having a Mediterranean inspired feast on New Year's day and I drew "starter". Love seeing how your December is progressing and how your book is coming along. Merry Christmas to you and yours if I don't make it back.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the Christmas wishes everyone!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes The (not So) Small One will be helping with the Christmas dinner
Merry Christmas from me too Sian x
ReplyDeleteI love how you fit so much journalling into your album, Sian, but then you are a natural story teller and it would be such a shame not to! I'm glad that your Christmas plans are all coming together and I hope you and your family have a wonderful time. Merry, merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteSian I have really enjoyed seeing your album come to life, this paper bag idea has suited you so well! What a fun experience for TNSSO, and nice for her mum to share and make cooking memories :)
ReplyDeletemore wonderful pages for your album. I've enjoyed seeing it. mine never happened... maybe next year ;-)
ReplyDeleteyours is really super!
I've loved looking at your Christmas album - it's so neat seeing everyone's take on the project.
