It was turning out to be a bit of a slow news day here at High In The Sky until I came home and found The Small One cooking oven chips with a hairdryer.
She said it was an experiment, but that they were delicious and would I like some?
I was telling a friend about it yesterday. he said, "What are you waiting for, Sian? Write it down and save it. You'll want to use it in a speech at her wedding reception."
I thought he was right. So here it is :

ReplyDeleteI'd have to get my hairdryer checked by an electrician first, it's been so many years since I've used it! at least she knows it works, and can pass the lesson on to others...

ReplyDeleteYour story made me smile (through the jet lag) :) and reminded me of how my Dad was always very fond of repeating the story of when I was little and made him a cup of tea. When he commented that it wasn't very hot I replied ' well, that's as hot as it comes out of the tap!'

ReplyDeleteShe could try cooking chips with a craft heat-gun (and oven gloves on!) - they get very hot... interesting experiment (if you can trust her not to burn herself or the kitchen worktops!).
Great scrap page. I love to scrap about these oddities of life - somehow I seem to make a better job of that kind of l/o than the cute and cuddly type!
The rosette is so pretty - I love its paper-cut edge.

That's definately one that had to be recorded for the future! Reminds me of the children of a work colleage who made a surprise cup of tea for their mum by putting everything into the kettle before boiling it - tea bag, milk and water!

ReplyDeleteThose linen shirts look fab, and trust me, you would get that crispness back with my all singing all dancing iron. One of those pressurised huge water tank super steamers, bought one a year ago, ironing time has halved!
