And because I wanted to go back to Tuesday's post and apologise if I gave anyone the wrong impression. By the time we lived in the house in the photo, the little boy Jack and his brother were long gone. And so were his cousins: we never met any of them. We just happened to buy a house across the road from where they used to live. That much is true..and the lamp-post really was still there in the 1960's when my photos were taken. I wonder if it has disappeared now? I really should go back and check.

ReplyDeleteYour layouts have such an amazing 3D, tactile quality about them. I love this one, especially those little white flowers, twining around and the wavy, ruffly ribbon at the bottom, with the title peeping out.
ReplyDeleteDidn't think about the house story - Jack Lewis was at Oxford in the 1930's... he would have been long-gone by the time you lived there!
Did you cut round all those little flowers by hand? What patience! Love the vintage feel you have given this, the velvet ribbon is a great addition.
